Approaching 47,000 miles and another Minnesota winter, so I purchased new tires as the original Hankook Dynapro at2’s were wearing down. Discount Tire had BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A K02’s on sale for $202 per tire. LT265/65 R17. Out the door for $1,124.25 and that included the road hazard warranty. Discount Tire recommended 40p.s.i. because the tires are 10-ply, compared to 30 p.s.i. It was a nice ride home! I haven’t modified the suspension, so oem size was perfect

Thank You everyone! I plan on doing the Chalk Test soon, as mentioned in an earlier post. I am a teacher, and happen to have a couple boxes of chalk in my desk, so I will bring some home on Monday. So far, I love the new tires . . . I don't notice any extra noise, although if I did, I don't mind because it's Minnesota, and I love a "Rugged" and "Up North" vehicle perfect for all that Minnesota has to offer. I will update how they work in the snow. I'm not worried because the Ranger did fine with the O.E.M. Hankook tires and these have more "Meat" to them. Plus, they look awesome and that has to count for something!!!

Regarding PSI, I would be skeptical of the 40 psi. Per the BF Goodrich website, if the tire size isn't changed, then the pressure will be the same. If the tire size is changed, they ask to call them (877-788-8899 for the correct pressure. I would call, just to be sure.

I believe he went to a higher load rating tire from the original. A 10 ply load range E tire needs more pressure.

Update: I contacted BF Goodrich (email) and gave them the specifics of my vehicle and tire size. They recommended 38 psi. I still plan to do the chalk test when I get time. So far, the ride has been very smooth and quiet, and I am enjoying the new tires.

Discount Tire has been very good to me over the years, and I have had new tires installed there MANY times.

On a side note, my wife had three different tires that picked up nails. Each time I went to Discount Tire, they plugged/patched/re-balanced the tire for free! That says something about the company and how they take care of their customers. The tires were the original tires on the vehicle, not new tires purchased from Discount Tire. One more reason they continue to get my business!!!

BF Goodrich replied to my email and recommended 38 psi.
