How on earth did you "put money down" on a vehicle that hasn't even been officially released?

The Ranger Raptor won't be available in the US until 2024 at the earliest. Slow your roll.

Also, Ford doesn't read this site. You're yelling at the clouds dude.

If 22 models are any indication, I wouldn't hold your breath on Ford being too generous...hope 2023 gets these 2019 items...
  1. rear folding headrest
  2. glove box damper
  3. PRNDS light
  4. console organizer
  5. hood damper
  6. keyed tailgate
  7. engine cover
My 2021 Lariat has #2 and $5 and #6 (stock from the factory)
I bought #4 (Amazon) and #7 (Levittown)
#1 and #3 are lacking, with no simple solution to add them back.

Did Ford drop #2, #5 and #6 from the 2022s?

If you get a new 6G Ranger Raptor from Ford in the first quarter of 2023 I'll give you my Ranger as well. Free.

Again. How did you "order" it? Ford has no line to get into yet. If you actually gave somebody money for this order, well...

I just put money down for the new 2023 Ranger Raptor, I know there will be a wait. I do have some engineering updates, please listen FORD. #1 All that I have seen shows no power rear window, it is a slap in the face of Ranger owners that the Maverick has both powered sliding rear window and a heated steering wheel. That leads into #2 heated steering wheel, for a person not into wearing gloves while driving, I'm not that cool, I am just a simple person, why no heated steering wheel??? #3 For me the pictures I have seen the Ranger Raptor has no rear bed step. Every other maker has figured this out, Come on, lets get it done. #4 Rear under seat storage, there is enough room for two peanut butter jelly sandwiches and a small container of milk, what are you, Ford, hiding under there. If there is not going to be any room behind the rear seat, enlarge the tub area under the rear seat.
Now let me end by saying I love my ranger, the seats are comfortable, driven a couple 800 mile trips in one day and the seats weren't the reason I was tired. Some complain about the ride, It's a pick up get over it or buy a Lexus. I know there are different opinions but here are a few of mine.
How did you put money down on a Non-Released Product? I asked my dealer and they have no info and cant even start a waiting list yet??? I am near Detroit where they are being built??

I definitely agree on the heated steering wheel. If the vehicle comes with heated seats (cold weather package) then it should include a heated steering wheel too.

The other big complaint is that heated side mirrors should be standard on ALL vehicles.

My third gripe, which is not on just Ford, is that any vehicle with a factory tow package should come from the factory with a brake controller.

As someone who lives in the deep south, I need neither heated seats nor heated mirrors. so why should it be standard and cost me more for something I don't need or want? Hell, Ford can't include $5 tie downs in all the trucks, you think they will add $1,000 of items as standard equipment?

It is simple economics here. It is always cheaper and easier for a manufacturer to stock 1 or two different versions of a part versus having to stock 3 or 4 versions of the same part. Plus it is also cheaper for production to limit the different versions of the same part. When only 1 or 2 versions are used versus 3 or 4 versions, there is less down time caused by switch overs pn the production line.

And when it comes to the cold weather package, yes they should include the heated steering wheel with the heated seats. If you don't want or need it then don't get it.

For the heated side mirrors, that is a safety feature that needs to be included on all new vehicles. Yes even in the Deep South there is sometimes a need to deice/defrost windshields, back windows, and side mirrors.

Heated mirrors are safety feature?

Do you not have an ice scraper?

I should tell my boss the company vehicle is unsafe and see how far that gets me.

I agree with all 4, but especially #2. The lack of a heated steering wheel, combined with the terrible heat flow to the foot well, makes heating my feet, hands and defrosting my windshield, almost impossible. I have this complaint every winter day I drive my truck.
Heated steering wheel???
