Hi all! I picked up a new to me '21 Lariat a week ago. I've been enjoying looking at what everyone else has done with thier builds. I'm looking forward to getting started on my build mods and this forum has been a great resource.

Thanks! She had the full red and black Tremor decals when I signed for her. I had the dealership remove the red before I took her home. I thought the silver and black would look nice, it turned out even better than I expected.

Check that you won't get hit with another $10k Adjusted Market charge
Even though I ordered the truck I am not 100% sure I am taking it. After ordering I started taking a second look at the Ranger and seeing some off lease 2019's selling for around 8-10K under original MSRP. I think the market is going to slowly get better and if and when the right one pops I hope to be there for it.

You would prolly enjoy being in the dealer's office to catch my response if they were to try that 10K ADM crap with me. LOL. The Maverick is an entry level truck. Price it to the same level as the Ranger and it suddenly becomes an overpriced entry level truck.

First ever pickup I’ve owned. She’s a beaut. Looking forward to our years together ?. Bear with me in the threads, I’m new to the modding game and stuff. I’ve got lots to learn, seems like you’re the crew to learn it from!

Looks good, my 21 Ranger is my first truck as well.

Yes, this is the crew to help you spend your money on things you had no idea you needed until you were told you did. Needless to say, mine didn't remain stock too long here.

Hi Everyone!

I'm Adam - checking in from Henderson, NV just outside Vegas. It seems I'm somewhat of a rarity on ranger5g.com because I discovered these forums after I bought my truck, on a lot, one sunny day filled with naivety. I showed up to the car dealership like a "replacement" on the battlefield; wide-eyed and confused. I thought you could still do that these days. It turns out things have changed a bit over the past few years! They did have a Ranger on their lot - and it was somebody's order that they had walked away from. According to my sales person. My window sticker does say "Special Order" below the MSRP. And I managed, after much negotiation, to take her home. Boy am I happy I went through it all. I'll detail my experience in the appropriate Purchasing forum.

Most importantly - the truck. Oh, the truck. My gosh. My very first "car" ever was a 1990 Ford Ranger 4x4 in Forest Green purchased used from "the little old lady that drove it to church." Nothing too fancy - the hubs were turned by hand. Fast forward to today; and my first ever "brand new car" is appropriately also a Ford Ranger. This time a 2022 Ranger XLT Supercrew 4x4 in absolutely stunning Velocity Blue with the Splash accents. Mama mia I'm in love. My purchase ritual for every vehicle I acquire is a nice long bubble bath. Even though this truck absolutely did not need it - I did. So I got to know every little detail of the truck, and my hat is off to the boys and girls back in Michigan. You built a superb machine. No fitment issues whatsoever here. I'll park it at the concourse lawn and challenge the judges to measure her up :p

I've been trying to catch up and read some of the top posts from the forums. I'll be learning from you all and burying my wallet in the back yard! I guess I'm an oddball or I've been driving some janky cars in my past because I think the transmission is a dream. I absolutely adore it. Mated with the engine it's so buttery smooth - and sure - it needs to learn from its new owner so occasionally it makes a bad guess. But in 250 miles I feel like it's already getting to know me well. Let's hear it from the back row - What a machine!

Though I started in a truck, I quickly went as a young man to fast German sedans. I've been in peppy sedans almost exclusively since and decided to pivot back to a truck because, of all things, the Ford Maverick caught my attention when it was announced. (Did I mention I was naive?) In researching the Maverick I discovered, hey, they also brought back the Ranger. Seeing as that was my first ride it instantly tugged at my heart strings. See - you're either a Ford or a Chevy guy, right? And every other truck on the road is a Tacoma. It was an easy decision, especially since I wrongfully assumed that there was inventory on dealer lots - LOL. I still play with classic car restoration so my Ranger will be towing rollers, (still need to add tow package,) taking trips to the machine shop, and will be assisting my wife with her low-water harvest gardening business. That is - when we aren't camping or adventuring. This Ranger will be put to work.

Well, nice to meet you all, and let me leave you with a quick little story from my purchase. I had taken the truck's true owner, my 3 year-old son, to the dealership with me the following day to drop off the title from our trade-in. We were checking out all of the custom-order Black Widows, the Broncos, and a Rousch Mustang that were sitting on the lot. I asked my son, as we passed a dark grey Bronco, "Isn't this a cool truck?" His response; "Yeah, but let's go get in our blue truck Daddy. It's the best one here." My heart melted - and that's why I didn't bring him on negotiation day!

Hi Adam,

Congrats on your new Ranger! It has a rich heritage behind it and I hope it delivers for you like your 1990 Ranger...

Hello everyone! Been lurking on the site since I ordered my Ranger back in March. It finally came in about a month ago so I officially joined the site. Loving it so far. This is a picture of it the day it came in parked next to my old Ranger I traded in.
