Thanks for the welcome all. So looking forward to getting this new Ranger. I already grabbed some parts including a Bedrug mat, Westin Pro Traxx 4" black oval Nerf bars and a Gator SRX roll up cover. More to come. Can't wait for the fun.

Thanks again,

Steve

Welcome, share some pics of the truck when you are out and about. Be prepared to spend on things you didn't know you were supposed to get.

Just took delivery of my first Ranger, a 2022 XLT FX4 in Forged Green Metallic. So far i am loving the truck! I have always been a full size truck guy since I started driving, but with the new job wanted a mid-size. I can’t believe how much nimbler this is to drive! So far my only issue is minor; the green they show online is much more pronounced than what it looks like in person. It is much darker/grayer than I thought it would be.

So far, I have put on a tailgate dampener (which I understand is obligatory here), a Bakflip MX4 cover, and am about to install Bilstien 5100’s on all four corners. Any suggestions for which setting on the front 5100’s?

welcome to r5g! you have the first green i have seen. I like the color, it is darker than i expected. maybe it will have more pop in the sunlight. I had a velocity blue ford for a little while and in the shade it was boring but in the bright sun it was awesome.

Thanks for the welcome!

it is still pretty dark in the sun. I still really love it, just expected it would be a bit brighter.

Welcome and congratulations on getting started on the right track with that suspension upgrade.

If you set your front coilovers at 2-1/2”, you’ll find it levels out the truck nicely. With my fibreglass canopy and some tools in the back, the 2-1/2” level kit was too high so when I upgraded to Fox 2.0s, I found that 2” was just right. So, if you plan on having 400+ lbs in the back or will be towing often, you might want to consider 2”. Otherwise, have a look at Dave’s truck in his vacation photos - nicely levelled with his Bilsteins Eibachs set at 2-1/2”.

I think I have that right but @AzScorpion can set you straight if I’m telling tales.

Thanks Duke and you're right it's set at 2.5" and it's the perfect set up for my use. I don't tow or haul anything all that heavy but if he is he might want to go down to 1.8"-2".

BTW I have the Eibachs. I wanted the Bilstein but they were back ordered with no ETA and wanted to get these installed for our trip. Still no regrets as these are a huge improvement over the stock suspension.
