I don't really know if the remote start triggers the power point timer. Usually, the remote start seems to limit the things that are "alive" until you put the key in and turn the ignition. Try searching the forum on that subject.

Not the same, but I have my dashcam powered via an OBDII adaptor, and set to the 'on when running' position, vs. always on. It comes on when I remote start with the app.
