They didn't say but I'm pretty sure they are AWD? That won't be good.

By the time 2027 rolls around, they'll be in BK and never produce anything.
Nope, solid rear axel with mechanical lockers front and rear..yes! I placed a reservation for the Traveler SUV w/range extender. I will be ready to move on from my Ranger by then, and I really like the EV/Gas combo to get rid of any range anxiety. Besides, I can charge it from solar.

I didn't see how much getting the extended range option would add to the projected 2027 price of 'just under' $60K for the SUV.

If I started saving my pennies now I wonder if I'd be able to maintain my enthusiasm.

I didn't even look for towing capabilities.

I’m waffling back and forth on reserving a Terra with the range extender. It IS refundable but I wondered how much insurance on this thing would be. I remember Tesla had to begin offering their own insurance

I believe it said 10k towing capacity on the Terra truck, and 7500 or something on the SUV.

They didn't have to. They did it as another stream of capital. Our Model Y is $100/yr more to insure than the Ranger. The Y was $10k more, so it makes sense to me.

I didn't see anything about solar, do you have a solar charger?

We have a 6KW Solar system at home, so from spring to late fall I will be able to charge at home from solar. We rarely drive more that 300 miles anywhere except when RV'ing, when I flat tow the Ranger.

IIRC you actually charge a rivian if you flat tow it. not sure if that's the case for all EVs. it'd be cool to see that tech on this scout if VW is sharing tech from it's deal with rivian.

I am more worried about the curb weight, which has not been included in any spec releases so far, thinking it will be to heave for my 7000 lb tow hitch. I did reserve on at reveal.

More EVs that are geared toward those with privilege and born with silver spoons.

Or those TikTokers that act retarded and get money handed to them by fellow abortion dodgers.

I don't get excited about any future vehicle that's over 2 year from production that I have never set foot in, but glad you're giddy. Rivian had a real hard time trying to get product to market and I'm glad I never bought one. Love my Ford.

Oh, I really like my Ranger, but 7 years is about as long as I keep any vehicle (when the extended warranty runs out) and we have been discussing a EV to replace both vehicles as our driving habits have changed now that neither of us work.
