I think it’s just metal. I have the Ford OEM cover on mine. I just posted this because I reached out to the mfg and asked if they actually installed one on a Ranger. It took a few weeks but they responded.

If you read the description on their web site....it's aluminum, available in either black powder coat or left raw for your own paint.
Also, lots of space to attach a Ford emblem.

Ahhhhh....but you said "I Think" which means your weren't totally 100% sure....maybe 99.9% but not 100%. So I just added the extra .1 %.

so it looks like have changed its design on the ranger since that one looks to be for the bronco and it looks a tad better now so i guess i dont hate it

Big difference between a foam factory cover and a bare aluminum sheet stuck in there. Bet the volume increases by 20 with the metal one singing HPFP blues

Chrome it=even more HP
Put a Ford emblem on the chrome cover=even more HP
Put a Ford Racing emblem on it=even more HP
