Picked it up this morning from Frederick Motor Co in Frederick, MD. Excellent experience over all. Final sale price was $37.2k. I’m stoked!

i'm confused. how was that 39k msrp? my 2021 fx4 loaded XL (not an xlt but has most everything one does) brand new was 36k OTD in june 21. MSRP on it was 35,585 incl destination. What do you have that i don't have that's worth another 4k MSRP?

is the link to it i believe. your is XLT 301a mine is XL 101 BUT i have 5k in options that gets me most of what you have and i have the locker/fx4.

so what am i missing?
I’m not sure. That’s the car I bought. Maybe compare it’s window sticker to yours?

Just ordered Bilstein 5100s for the rear. Let the mods begin! I’ll probably wait on doing the fronts for a while since I don’t feel like tearing apart the front suspensions of a new vehicle just yet. From what I read all around the forum just doing the rears makes a big difference.

It made a noticeable difference in my '21 FX4. Well worth it and I have no plans to change the fronts. :like:

Today 12/31 and especially Monday 1/2 are THE best days to negotiate a vehicle. Esp if it's been in their inventory for some time.
Ya got a nice truck there OP.

Nice!

Did the sales person share when that Splash Jungle Edition is due to arrive?

Congrats!?
Don't want to be a kill joy, but if I were you I'd want to know. It's fixable anyway and it could be the camera, but are the gaps the exact same on each side? Specifically, above each fog light. It looks like the passenger side gap is wider than the driver's side. I hope it's just a camera angle, and I apologize for being an attention to detail anal ass, but that is what I do. The photos definitely show it, but hopefully it's just an angle/distance thing.

Hi there,

New poster here. I am currently car shopping and have an order in for a hybrid Maverick. I realize getting that is a bit of a pipe dream given how oversold the hybrids are for MY23. My current car is a 2006 Escape Hybrid with an HV battery that needs to be replaced to the tune $4k, so I'm hoping it lasts long enough for me to either 1) get a good deal on a ranger or 2) for the Maverick to (maybe) come.

There's a Cactus Gray XLT 301A Ranger that's been on a local dealer's lot for 4 months that I've been keeping an eye on. They finally dropped the $3K ADM and are starting to lower the price a little bit. Right now it's $500 below MSRP ($38,995). Trying not to give away too many details in case the dealers trawl these forums. Here's a portion of the window sticker:

[removed until final sale]

$35k is where I'm comfortable (MAYBE 36k if I really like the truck). I know this is asking for a lot off, but since they've started dropping the price I'm hoping I can get them come down a few thousand more. Given the car market is finally starting to crash and this car has been on their lot for 4 months, and they're making interest payments on it, I think I stand a good chance of at least getting then to come down some.

What do you guys think? Is this a pipe dream for me? I realize I am hoping for a pretty significant price cut, but am also award a serious market adjustment downward for the car market is on the horizon. Certainly open to any other ideas.
Stick to your guns and angle for the lower price! If it's a '22, remind your dealer that sales of the current platform are way down since folks are waiting for the 24. Offer up the sweet Escape in trade as a sign of brand loyalty. And watch Ford.com. My 21 Lariat came with a 2k factory discount even during last year's tough times.
An opinion? Most dealers have been and will always be sketchy. Be wary and don't be afraid to hold walk away.
Good luck!

This was a good catch, and your eyes weren't tricking you. The rubber strip that separates the bumper above the fog lights are positioned slightly differently on each side. Not sure I'll bother getting it fixed, I barely notice it in person.

You might want to go to the Ford build site and spec out a new one like yours. My 2021 XLT Ranger Tremor was 42k and change in 2021. I built one on the Ford website the other day with same packages and its now 46k and change.

Nice to see that there was room to deal. Hopefully that's coming back into style. I was able to haggle when I bought my truck in May 21, but not like in the past.

My out-the-door-price with taxes, title and dealer BS was $500 under MSRP. A year later we purchased an Outback and the best available was MSRP plus taxes, title and dealer BS.

Of course prices are shooting up too. For fun I configured my exact truck on the Ford site as a '23 and the MSRP is $3400 higher.
