This was an interesting read because I have a very similar story. I had a Maverick on order and waited and waited. Last December I decided to test drive a Ranger (as well as a hybrid and ecoboost Mav I found at another dealer). I really liked the EB mav and the Ranger. I decided to pull the...
Hi all. My truck has a gap that gets thinner between the hood as it goes back on the driver’s side. This gap is even on the passenger side.
I’ve read a few threads where people bump the fenders out laterally by loosening the bolts under the hood, however, I don’t think that’s my issue here...
20 MPG on my latest fill up, 70% highway, 30% around town. Seems really difficult for me to break 20, and I don't flog this truck at all. Kind of disappointed with it tbh.
I let go of this, a 2012 Mustang GT Premium 6 speed. My first brand new car I bought myself out of college. It had 80k miles on it but needed some work. The MT82 trans was on its last legs (its known to be a total POS), and I never drove it. When Carvana offered me $21k for it I couldn't...
Similar kind of story here. Their initial offer would have had me taking a $1.2k loss on a truck I bought only a month ago. Their new offer was tempting, but I think I’ve decided to keep the Ranger. Ultimately it’ll be of more use and I don’t really need the MPGs of a Mav hybrid with my...
Well I can tell you they initially offered me $38.2k for mine, then they emailed me yesterday and upped the offer to $40.2k. I checked because I forgot to cancel a Maverick order, and it went into production. I was running numbers and going through the motions of which car I really want. If I...
It's definitely worth it. The rear end feels way more planted. You don't even have to jack the truck up to do it. I'm happy with the way it rides now and probably won't bother with doing the fronts.
This was a good catch, and your eyes weren't tricking you. The rubber strip that separates the bumper above the fog lights are positioned slightly differently on each side. Not sure I'll bother getting it fixed, I barely notice it in person.
Just ordered Bilstein 5100s for the rear. Let the mods begin! I’ll probably wait on doing the fronts for a while since I don’t feel like tearing apart the front suspensions of a new vehicle just yet. From what I read all around the forum just doing the rears makes a big difference.
Sorry I didn't mean to give the impression I was implying you would. I was speaking more generally. 10 years ago I found a car I really liked and posted the link saying I was going to go test drive it, asking for things to look for, etc etc. I went to look at it and it sold, and a forum...
I'll post details as soon as I have the truck home. I'm probably being overly cautious but I had a Mustang sniped from me by a forum member 10 years ago or so when I made a similar post, and I don't want that to happen again. I will confirm it's a brand new truck. Can't wait to post pics...
Well we agreed on the price and made an appointment Friday morning to go buy it. I did ask him if he needed any money to hold it and the sales manager said no. He said they’d hold it until Friday but not until the new year. I guess we'll see if they're a stand up dealer or not. They want it...
Gotcha, thanks. I'm sure I'll be looking into these in the future. I thought about getting an FX4 but I decided I really didn't need it as I most likely won't be doing much intense offroading, so an open rear diff is fine for me. I'm more interested in the bed utility and towing.
Could...
Well, I didn't get an FX4, but I assume it still applies? XLT 301A. I probably won't do much to it until it's paid off.
Have an appointment at 9:30am on Friday to buy it.
