Ok so I've been really busy during my Christmas vacay ? Got the Livernois tuner programming flashed....LOVE IT! I'm running the 91-91 Octane performance tune with the hard shift....does not shift hard enough IMHO...(Have to talk to Anthony about that ) Actually got the idea from Sid's posts to put the Torque Pro on an old Fire 7 tablet I had laying around. I was able to order the wireless OBDII dongle and all the accessories I needed on Amazon, get it all delivered and get it installed. Looks and works great! Then I've been working on the homemade brackets for my Ranger grille lights. They turned out wonderful and are installed and working great. Just need to tie them into the DRL's and were done. So all projects complete!! Just waiting on my wheel spacers from Wheel Adapters USA. I ordered them on 12/18 and have heard nothing! They don't answer the phone or emails....I'm somewhat irritated by these folks.... Inserted a picture of 2 bald eagles perched together right down the road from the house....you don't see that very often.

BTW...Thank you Sid (Msfitoy) and David (djrobb) for the excellent detailed descriptions and pics to accomplish the tie-in to the DRL's for the raptor grille lights....made it super easy!

Another little project I kinda fell into over the Christmas break was due to me hanging out with Mrs. Quail Guy at Hobby Lobby no less. I don't know if you folks know this but Hobby Lobby has a American Car Company area that features knock-offs of old Ford, Chevy and Mopar signs and stuff....all kinds of stuff. You never know what you will find in that section. So since I tweaked my infotainment sys to Sync 3.4 and went with the Ford Performance Cobra theme I figured this would look cool on the Ranger. Plus now that I've installed some mods and she is now tuned, I'm looking to stir things up on the road a little....lol
Anyway, I found these Ford Cobra 3D magnetic decals at Hobby Lobby and the light went off, so I painted them.....Trying to figure out where I like the placement. Heck...I figured if Sid (Msfitoy) could dress his Ranger up as the Starship Enterprise I could make mine the Cobra....lmao.
BTW...We got that MUCH needed stimulus money in the bank today.....lol.
Guess it's time to stimulate the economy with some more Ranger mods......I'm pissed at Mitch McConnell.....he cost me A LOT of money in mods!!! JK

Frozen Payette Lake

Under the right conditions, we can get an ice fog. I live just off shore from the St Croix River and just before sunrise, ice fog crept in. Light from street lights and headlights make tall vertical columns of light reflected off the frozen fog. This condition usually lasts an hour, more or less. The blue spire is from a Holiday gas station, famous in the Midwest for their bright blue neon-bordered signage.

Nice layer of hoar frost on everything around here lately. Makes everything so beautiful. Like a stereotypical winter wonderland.

I want to black out those side vents, does anyone have a product to use for this? Flexseal or Bedliner spray.....has anyone tried these things out on this particular part?

Drove through ~200 miles of freezing fog this morning, guessing the same type that frosts the trees in that way. This is what the front of the Ranger looked like after.

Was quite nice once the fog broke.

How about Plast-dip? Just spray on a couple light coats and if you ever decide you want it back to stock just peel it off.

Out snowshoeing in the Boundary Waters today. Twas a beautiful sunny clear winter day. Was planning on going right up this beautiful lake and checking out some paddle in campsites, but ran into quite a few areas of slush and even a couple areas of near open water, so we never quite made it with all the zig-zagging we had to do. Strange with how cold and solid the ice was weeks ago. We also came across a pair of wolves coming up the lake as we were heading back. Charlie was acting strange just before so we kind of knew something was up. Pretty fun day overall!

I popped mine out and sprayed them with just plain matte black krylon. If you want to ever reverse them in the future back to stock though, I'd go with plasti dip.
