Regular headlights and I'm finally realizing how damn bad the bulbs are.
The bright are about as bright as other vehicles driving with "normal" light on.

I read the back and forth on LEDs here and not sure I want to go that route.
So can anyone recommend a better bulb.

Don't use LED's for your low beams. There are plenty of Halogen bulbs that will improve lighting.
Just about any H11 bulb with blue tint will be better than the cheap OEM units.

I like SilverStar's from sylvania, though they don't last quite as long.

I'm using LEDs for my highbeams, though I don't think it really matters what brand you use long as they're not $30 cheapos.

I went with LED replacement bulbs, (I've never been flashed with them) there are full housing replacements but i didn't want to remove the front end of the truck and the cost was prohibitive for me, check out this site lot of info.

I initially just used Auxito LED bulbs in my OEM XLT light assembly's and they worked very well, never was flashed but some on the forum said they may have caused a lot of glare for oncoming traffic so I then tried replacing the whole headlight assembly's with a dedicated LED projector light made by Vland ($400./pair) and they worked as well as the bulbs, but throw out less glare. Here is a night shot on low beams and the high beams.

This is what my Auxito Bulbs looked like.

The LED bulb conversion and glare has been beat to death...I'll just say after 115,000+ miles, my conversion with "correct" 1:1 LED bulb design + proper aiming has not offended one single person...this is also combined with my amber DD fog pods...aiming is the key...absolutely zero flashing from on coming traffic...

I read all the dire warings about popping LED's in the halogen housings and was went ahead a tried it. I went with some cheapies off amazon but I went with the lower power rated ones thinking there'd be less glare. I also lowered the aim quite a bit. I got flashed more with the halogens (guess I didn't lower them enough after the level). I think these are the ones I used an they are 20 watt each I see a lot of them are 30.

your experience may vary an you may get flamed in the forums but sometimes it works

just a thought ahead of changing bulbs and all that maybe the headlights need to be adjusted. could also be a voltage issue.

I was thinking about this, what's the best way to check it?
