I know our North American trucks might not show the same codes as South American versions but maybe someone can help out this member from Chile.
Sé que es posible que nuestras camionetas norteamericanas no muestren los mismos códigos que las versiones sudamericanas, pero tal vez alguien pueda ayudar a este miembro de Chile.

Hello friends, my ranger has the code p0500 according to the scanner, is it the vss, does anyone know where it is?
thanks friend, all help is welcome, it took me a long time to find information about this problem![]()
VSS is a Vehicle Speed Sensor. As far as I can tell, the 5G Ranger doesn't have one.

"Our newer Rangers get their raw speed signal from the OSS (Output Shaft Speed) sensor in the transmission housing as Ranger Pride said (also see Ranger Rocks post above). The OSS sensor is a magnetic pickup that provides transmission output shaft rotation speed information to the PCM where it is corrected for tire diameter and axle ratio."
But the TSS and OSS (both located on the transmission housing) show that they would throw a different code, so I am not sure how much help this information will be to you.
I'd try an Autralian forum. The ROW trucks are very much different than ours.thanks friend, all help is welcome, it took me a long time to find information about this problem
