I took a standard Nite Ize Steelie Orbit and made an extension to move it out about 1/2" to gain more range of motion. I used Alumlite Amazing Clear Cast resin and a short piece of 3/4" PVC (perfect size) with tape on one end as a mold. Mixed up a small batch, poured it into the mold and let it set overnight. I wanted to be able to position my phone to avoid any glare or blinding reflections. The side that attaches to the dash is ground to fit the slight contour to get the full effect of the 3M VHB tape.

Looks good - I’ve been very disappointed with the options that are out so far.

I actually like that it's not that easy to have the phone in front of you... w/android auto and apple car play you get pretty good functionality... I avoid those too as it's helped me keep from texting. I can hear a text w/built in software and if it's really that important, I can go old school and just call that person... LOL.. Whaaaaaaaa?
