I just looked at their website today and it looks like they are developing a mount specifically for our rangers. Should be out soon. You can add a gopro mount among others as well. I will be buying one.

For the phone I bought this one and it's been great, it's never moved even when off road. That mount in the dash tray is nice but with the sun and heat here I wonder if it would harm the device? Probably ok for just normal commuting but taking long trips I can see the phone being a melted piece of plastic by the time I got there. lol

The Bronco is going to have an accessory rail across the dash where you can add stuff. I'm going to wait and see the reviews from those who live here and other hot climates before adding one. Hopefully this works because it's a great accessory which should be added to the next Gen Ranger.

I don't have one yet, so I can't say for certain, but looking at the mount, i'm not sure that it would be affected whatsoever by heat. In fact, I think it might deal with heat a lot better than the mount you showed in the picture just due to the fact that its not sitting directly on top of the metal and its sitting further inside the cab.

You're right it does look like it hangs into the cab. I only looked at the first picture so it was hard to tell by that one. Look forward to your review once it's out.

Another update: installed the mount today (no arm or phone holder for 24 hrs while the adhesive sets), but I have to say, I am absolutely blown away by the quality and craftsmanship from Bulletproof mounting solutions. It arrived with all the the necessary equipment (drill bits, screw driver, mini socket wrench thing and even a bottle opener). It looks amazing and is very, very solid. I will update again after a week of driving, but initial impression is a 10/10.

Why mount your phone?. It's not 2001 anymore. Plug it in and put in the cubby.

Seriously, why are you people needing your phone mounted?

I use mine all the time for the GPS. There's so many new housing developments going up here and the truck GPS is unless for that. Also handy when traveling (GPS) to be able to see the screen and not have to fish for it down in the well.

As do I.

Plug the phone in. Use Google maps on the built on screen via AA.

I have a mount, RAM wireless charging, in my milktruck. But I see no reason for a phone mount in a modern vehicle with AA or Carplay.

2001 ? I think you might be off a decade or so bud. We were using flip phones in 2001 if you were luck. Some of us still rocked a big brick phone you couldn’t put in your pocket and some still didn’t have a cellphone at that point.
