So, I had my phone mounted with a Nite Ize steelie on my dash just below the radio screen, but it got some sun and heat, and the 3M tape failed. I wanted something that would hold the phone high, so I went with the RAM vehicle floor mount, the 18" version. I removed one of the seat bolts and used it to secure the mount. I did have to trim a little of the plastic piece that covers the front of the seat rail. It comes with a piece of ribbed plastic conduit, but I left that off and just Plasti-Dipped the rod once it was formed....much sleeker looking, IMO. I haven't driven around with it yet, but I think it might jiggle/wiggle around, and if it does, I'll just get a piece of foam to wedge between the bar and the console side.
