On my FordPass app it says "Vehicle location is disabled". It further says that I need to enable something in my Ranger. Something about Sync Connect settings but I can't find anything like that. Is there something I need to do in my Ranger or am I seeing another quirk/failure of the FordPass app?
I was about to ask the same question! I a getting the same message.

Yes, you have to activate location services on your ranger.

Dont remember where in menus. It is in you manual

Thanks, Tod. You got me pointed in the right direction. This option is under "settings" on the infotainment screen (Sync3). What I was missing is that there is a bunch more tiles under settings and you have to swipe left to see them. Once I did that I found the connectivity settings for FordPass.

Thank you all for your input. As suggested by some, I deleted the app, then reinstalled it. MAGIC, the missing data appeared. If you do this, give it some time because your account is only updated on an occasional basis.

Sometimes even just logging out and back in fixes the issue. If that doesn't fix it, then uninstalling and re-installing the app usually fixes it (at least for a while).

I am not up to speed on how to disable the nanny following apps. I guess that if Ford pass it is so inconsistent that I could be in MEX before it recognized the truck is gone. By the way I am just joking. Poking fun at Ford pass.

I'm not sure IF those nanny's can even be disabled. I do know they're dependant upon AT&Ts data network. If it's spotty in your area, that could be the issue.

Makes me happy I own a couple cars without such gadgetry. You never know when you might need to go somewhere without dropping breadcrumbs. Also kidding, kind of.
