What I admire about the Mishimoto charge pipes is that they tilt the mount for the valve on top so taller units won't hit the hood insulation.

The BOV is very easy to get to.

I've noticed zero downsides. Someone on here claimed that a BOV reduces power, if this is the case it is negligible.
I think some are confusing a BOV with a wastegate. If the BOV is working properly it should not have a negative effect on performance at all. It is there to relieve boost when you get off the pedal suddenly to not cause harm to the turbo or surge RPM.

Wastegates are what control the exhaust gases to the turbo and open (waste) to reduce the turbo speed/boost which control power.

So, BOV on the intake side and Wastegate on the exhaust side.

Hood insulation.... What's that?

Haha, I do know what it is. I removed mine because I couldn't stop thinking about it touching my BOV. Certainly makes the blow off noises louder!

Don't the charge pipes come ready to wire in a boost gauge too?

you can run a boost gauge from that port but you won’t get a vacuum reading, positive pressure only.
