I think Dave's truck just needs a little more elbow grease. I've seen worse buff out. ?
Right now Dave’s Ranger is like a Thanksgiving carcass on the third day. It’s pretty much picked bone clean and buffing isn’t going to help much anymore

mmmm 3 day old turkey carcass

all these accidents lately. I might be locking up the ranger in the garage wrapped in bubble wrap and guarded with an armed sentry for a while.

I'm glad everything turned out mostly OK in the end

It always hurts when something happens to your new vehicle. The nice thing is that vehicles can be fixed or replaced.

And I do NOT fully trust the reverse warning system on the Ranger. My truck has failed to warn me several times of vehicles or object behind me when at an angle to the truck.

The worse was when I backed into a dumpster and the dumpster handle pokes a hole into my tailgate. I was able to pop the worse of the dent out and fill the hole in along with cover everything with a tailgate cover. I didn't turn it into my insurance since I didn't want to pay my deductible.

The damage

And the alarm/warning never sounded before hitting the dumpster. I had the system checked out at the dealer and everything tested good. I have also had some close calls in parking lots without the getting a warning. But luckily no actual collisions.

Very resourceful.

Dang Nate! Bad luck.. I'm glad you got it fixed and get to keep your truck unlike some unlucky members lately.

I understand your reaction to the cross-traffic warning. I had the exact same reaction because the object was outside of the camera view and my vision was still obstructed by the vehicle next to me. (Vegas strip mall parking lots rule - NOT!) I'm just very fortunate my reaction was to panic brake.

Happy trails from here forward my friend!

Omg, that's freaking awful. Obviously we are ALL glad that you didn't get hurt but it's still horrible. $3500 for that repair? Jeezuz, no wonder the insurance companies are dry raping everyone.
I've been to Lowe's a few times since I got Blue Dream and like everywhere else, I park as far away as possible. But not so far as to attract "attention" if you know what I mean. It's almost an art, figuring out how to park faaaaaar away but still make it look legit and not attract that "attention" from the worthless fucktards out there. I know I may be asking for trouble but I'd rather take that chance than the alternative. Plus my fatass can use the extra exercise, at least that's my excuse and I'm owning that one for sure.
I'm glad you were able to get fixed and I hope everything works out for you. But $3500 though.....man, that's crazy.

Oh! OK, had me worried for a moment, I was going to run out and wrap up my Ranger in bubblewrap to protect it
