Lower Head Unit Brightness Past Factory Setting?

Hello everybody,

When I drive at night my head unit is excruciatingly bright. Even with the theme on night mode, the brightness cranked all of the way down, and the gauge cluster turned all of the way down, the head unit still hurts my eyes. Does anyone know how to lower this brightness further? I understand I can make the screen turn completely off, but I need the screen for maps sometimes.

This might sound crazy but hear me out… Get some of that tinting film used for smoking headlights and put some on the screen? Might work
