I installed mine this evening. Getting those metal clips to release was a pain. If they slide off the plastic tabs, reattach them before reassembly.

Here are the instructions.
2 dimensional, stainless steel, powder coated and sturdy. I have not installed yet. Time and weather.

Thanks for posting these instructions, but it is obvious that these instructions were written by non-mechanics or just plain idiots.
When you mention a 10 mm bolt you are referring to the fasteners shank size and NOT the hex size of the head of the fastener itself. This is something budding mechanics have ingrained in their brains with regards to fasteners. A 10 mm bolt would be worthy of a suspension component or engine mounting device, attaching a valence panel with a 10 mm bolt would most definitely be overkill.
Ditto for sites which list "driver's" and "passenger" locations, side to side directions are ALWAYS listed as left and right on a vehicle while seated and looking forward. What would happen if the vehicle was right hand drive?
Pardon my rant, but just by virtue of manufacturer's listing stupid things in their directions/manuals greatly diminishes the perception of quality of the product itself.

Glad I found this thread. None of my valence metal clips came out with the valence so that was rad.

But I too don’t like to sport peoples names unless there’s something in it for me.

a little spray paint fixes that...

My logo faced the engine, do no issue. Not sure if they messed up adding it.

Mine faced the engine as well, thought I was installing it wrong. As there is only one way to get it on, I felt better that I was somewhat sane, mostly, and they just have weak production standards... I hope.

Tony beat me to it but I also did my install. Easy and yes about 30 minutes.

Be advised though.
This is designed to utilize the 2 bolts in the upper license plate mount for securing the grille. Some of us (like me in Michigan) do not have a front plate and because of that no bolts to secure it. I used zip ties as a temporary measure and will have to get 2 bolts to make it right. Stage3 and Putco need to know this and I’ll contact them.
All in all I like the look - it completes the front and now no big holes.

Do you know the bolt size required?

The head is 10mm so that leads me to believe it's a 6x1 thread and I think it's 20mm in length. A 16mm length might be fine for those without the front plate.

Am I the only one to install the lower grill insert by Putco without removing any parts from their Ranger? Decided to try a test fit and found it easy to insert the grill into place through the hole it covers. Granted, I do not have the fancy cruise control module to get in the way.

Going to also try it. Shouldn’t have to be a major install you’d think. Only reason I was holding off is if I have to take the lower facia off, I want to plastidip it first.

Installed my putco lower grill guard today.

I do not have a front plate, but the dealer had put the bracket bolts in the glove box. No clue where the 10mm comes from. Takes 6mm socket. See pic for part number

More important, install took less than 10 minutes. Not having the adaptive cruise, NOTHING has to be removed to install. Almost too easy to install.
