Just bought a 2019 Ford Ranger (30k miles), took it onto the highway for maybe the third time since I got it a few weeks ago. I took a sharp turn onto the ON ramp and started to floor it, and around the 30-40MPH mark the truck just stopped accelerating and (as far as I could tell) wouldn't shift. I took my foot off the gas and reapplied, and then the truck seemed to operate normally.

Bringing it back to the dealer next week to have it looked at, but I'm not sure what to expect. Has anyone here experienced something similar?

Id say TC kicked in as well if you got no CELs and it was fine afterwards. I dont feel that the TC system is too bad if your just going to spin a tire (compared to some other cars Ive driven) - but if it thinks you are about to swing the ass around..... it will REALLY step in.

Traction control. Truck will NOT let you give it the boot in a sharp turn, especially to the right (at least in my experience. If I do it at "pulling out of the parking lot" speeds I can even hear one brake squawking and the tire actually grinds on the pavement as "Mommy" says "NO!"

Pretty damn sharp. I figured something about how I merged wasn't jiving with the truck. Could've very well been the traction control.
It takes a while to get used to a few things with this truck and that is one of them. There is a fairly sharp left turn here from a signal that likes to do that to me even without heavy acceleration.

Yeah, even with tc off and advanced trak off ( hold tc button for 10 sec) the nannies wont let you do cool nascar spins and burnouts :(

I had TC come on pulling a U turn at 5mph. Same symptoms. The TC system seems a litte reserved but when it kicks in, it really kicks in.
