I'm looking to replace the tires that came on my Ranger. I want to stick with the stock 18" wheel because I actually like the wheel. Strange I know. I'll be getting the Ford Performance Fox 2.0 leveling kit with a 2" to 2.5" lift in the front. What's the largest 18" tire I can put on the Ranger without having to alter, replace or remove the factory crash bars. I'd like to get 33" tires if possible without rubbing anything.
I'm looking for a more durable tire than the stock tires. I won't be towing or do any hardcare rock crawling but when I go offroad I might encounter sharp rocks which is the reason I'm looking at the E range tires because they're 10 ply and not 4 ply. Are the 4 ply from other manufacturers more durable that the stock Hankook tires that come with the FX4? I'd prefer a load C range tire but none of the tires I'm looking at have a C rated tire in the size I want.
The tires I"m looking at are:
Falken Wildpeak A/T3w
265/70/R18 SL 32.6" 10.8
LT265/70/R18 E 32.9 10.7
Nitto Ridge Grappler
265/70/R18 SL 32.64 10.71
LT 265/70/R18 E 32.87 10.71
Nitto Terra Grappler
265/70/R18 SL 32.64 10.71
LT265/70/R18 E 32.64 10.71
