  1. Oil Catch Can. Yes or No?

My thinking is when the piston goes down it creates the vacuum needed to draw air and fuel into the cylinder along with the contaminates we don't want that cause the carbon build-up. If I plug the top inlet to stop the crap from being sucked in, will they still be discharged through the lower...
  2. Oil Catch Can. Yes or No?

Justin, I completely understand and agree. You may have missed my point. What I commented on was making modifications to my OWN 2021 Ford Ranger and not what a manufacturer is allowed or not allowed to do. Why do I need to purchase a $200 catch can kit that needs emptying on a regular basis when...
  3. Oil Catch Can. Yes or No?

All this catch-can talk has got me thinking. Why do we want to CATCH the blow by gas/oil/water mixture and have to worry about emptying it? Why not just vent it straight to the pavement going down the road? It's mostly water anyway. The amount of oil contained in the mixture is minute compared...
  4. Engine Start/Stop when parking

Disable the start/stop function by unplugging it from the negative terminal on the battery.
  5. 2020 ranger. Less than 9k miles. Driveshaft bolts missing

The pictures you took, are they looking forward or back? Forward, I think. I never heard a word from anyone about my incident.
  6. 2020 ranger. Less than 9k miles. Driveshaft bolts missing

I had a similar problem on my 2021 Ranger Lariat FX4. I lost an upper ball joint nut that connects it to the steering knuckle on the passenger side. Luckily for me, they disconnected from each other when I was making a left turn. It made an terrible noise that a new vehicle should not make. When...
  7. Looking to replace stock tires

I think you're right about the leveling kit. With the front end (and the crash bars) raised about 3", it would take a pretty good jolt to the front wheel while I'm turning, to compress the strut far enough for the tire to touch or rub on them. There's no issue with the wheels pointed straight...
  8. Looking to replace stock tires

I went to Discount Tire today and had four 265/70 R18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers installed based on what you're running. The tires on the front just do clear the crash bars with a quarter inch or so to spare. You were dead on. Thanks Andy. They look so much better than the stock crap we took off.
  9. Looking to replace stock tires

How much is your odometer off now with the larger sized tires?
  10. Looking to replace stock tires

Advnirvana, your truck looks great. I looked on the Discount Tire website to check your tire size. It said your tires have a diameter of 32.64 inches. I think your tires have the largest diameter I've seen mounted on a Ranger without any modifications to the front end. I have a 2.5 inch leveling...
  11. Looking to replace stock tires

Todd, I TOTALLY agree. The stock Hankook tires were a poor choice by Ford. What were they thinking? The first thing I did was go to Discount Tire to turn the black sidewall out so that people couldn't easily see what tire was on it.
  12. Looking to replace stock tires

CJ74, I'm trying to find the largest diameter tires that will fit on my 2021 Ranger Lariat FX4 without rubbing on the front crash bars or the front knuckle. I was leaning toward the same size you have (275/65 R18) only a different brand. The ones I have in mind have a diameter of 32.09 inches...
  13. Looking to replace stock tires

azdriver, you and I have the same year/model truck. Mine is also a 2021 Ranger Lariat FX4, Cactus Grey with the Black Appearance package. My interest is what you finally did about tires and what size you managed to fit on it without them rubbing anywhere.
