Very new to trucks but I'm looking to get a little lift for extra clearance but I want to keep the rake for towing. Suggestions on a lift size, tires, shocks all of it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

How much lift you looking for? Just curious.
Spacers lift? Suspension lift?
(I’m trying to answer these questions for my TRuCK, I’m thinking suspension lift and avoid spacers if possible.)
Probably not the best choice but I’m planning to stick with fox and get fox 2.5s (because tremor…?)
I recently watched a surplus shocks (might be Shocks Surplus.)YT video reviewing the fox 2.0’s and one of the fellows (they called him the more experienced one) he said the 5100’s provided a better on-road feel since they seemed stiffer which may be better for towing vs the fox 2.0 squishy ride.

Happy Hunting.

Bilstein 5100 gives you 4 or 5 height setting options, if you want to keep a little rake, try 1.2 or 1.8.
Thanks for suggesting these :like: ! I was originally leaning towards the Fox 2.0 but wasn't fond of having to deal with the rebuild every so often. I know Bilstein's quality from my VW experience and being that I can raise the front slightly is a bonus!

Once you start, it never stops…
I did the Ford/Fox 2.0 leveling kit,
Icon rear spring packs, stock 17” wheels with Falken 275/70- 17 tires.
also replaced rear driveline with a one-piece.
Performance-wise, I installed the Ford performance tune, cold air intake and bigmouth air portal to air filter.
You’ll lose mpg after changing the stance and tires, but you’ll get it back with the tune.
Good luck, and happy trails.

If you are planning to go OffRoad then I would take a look at Dobinsons. They have kits available with Shocks, Struts, Coils and Leaf Springs.

If you plan to stay on the street then I would leave it be

I do plan on doing some mid grade off-roading (is that a thing) but nothing too crazy. The lift would be for looks and function.

Also check out shock surplus, they have a bunch of videos on each brand (not necessarily for rangers) that talks specifically about valving and how each fits different applications.

I appreciate you sharing and taking the time to research is helping me as well
Hope it is helpful.

The biggest takeaway from all the videos I've watched is everything is subjective.

Good luck. ?
