I would like to add the same unit, but I just found out that the KSC-SW11 does not have an auto-turn on feature on the high level inputs, so I need to run a remove turn on wire. Can you please tell me from where did you get this additional 12V turn on signal?
Also, did you tap into both rears to get the signal? Thank you!
I installed a LOC ( Line out converter) amd completely took apart my dash to tap into the speaker wires from the receiver. I then ran all my wiring on the driver side trim panels and carpets. Its very easy to run rca’s and a remote turn on from there.

Thank you! I've already made the install and updated my build in my thread (this section). I tapped into the speaker wires from the B pillars on both sides.

Since I had my 2003 Ranger Edge, Ive toyed with door mounted subs like this, especially since I have a Supercab again.

I just gotta get brave enough to make it happen. That and, the wife needs to approve, LOL

I used the plug and play kit with LC2 converter,a Rockford Fosgate 600W amp,and Kicker shallow 10ā€ sub in this eBay box that’s fits in the cubby under the passenger side rear seat.I bought it from a local gentleman who removed it from his truck.
ā€˜He went full sound system build.

Super happy with added fill

This unit is awesome! its just what I've been looking for, does the box look easy enough to make at home? Or is it worth the $240 total on eBay (including international shipping ). I'm currently doing a simple budget build but sound is a top priority so the extra $ might be worth it.
Also, how's the base quality, does it thump and rumble the cab or is it more tame?

If you have the skills to make one by all means do so.For me, I just bought it,albeit used from some one local who was going full crazy.

I am satisfied with the bass I get from this,as it does shake and rumble nicely.I did wrap the poop out of it with some sound deadening material to make it a little more rigid, and added some poly fill to it.

It is not a sound DB competition box,but allows me to dial back the bass from the factory speakers, and have the sub do the heavy lifting.

My trucks an XL,and I can tell you I have no desire to replace any of the factory speakers after adding this sub.The sound is very nicely changed for the better.

I have had many people very impressed with the sound, and the simplicity of achieving it with minimal effort.

Did you bolt the box to the car, or just letting sit in the hole?

Hey man! I’m not gonna lie your post inspired me to get the same exact system for my truck. I ended up making the box myself which saved a lot of cost. The Kicker fits perfect and sounds so much better then stock. I honestly couldn’t be happier. It looks awesome too. I highly recommend this project for anyone who wants to make a cool little lid for the OEM plastic box that you can slap a sub on top of.

(btw I cleaned up the carpet a little bit so the raged edges aren’t there anymore , I’ll try and post a picture of what it looks like now soon.

How’s the clearance on that sub under the seat?
