Any one have the part number or where to get it for Item number 1.
The parts site I was in has all the rest of the parts but not that one.
Thanks.

Checked various websites, Ford Parts, Rock Auto, Ebay - No Luck. You will have to call Ford Parts Department or check with Benny. They will have access that we as consumers don't have. I did find some on Ebay, but used and no part number just listing from salvage yard with pic of truck itself being parted out

When you get to the site, enter your vehicle info to see the image. (Click on "select vehicle")

I found that as well, but it is not full part #, but at least it should get him close and, in the ballpark, ⚾, the partial number I found was for a T-6 Ranger and it is the same you located, the Ford Parts department will have something to go on anyways.

I usually print the page from the Ford Parts site and take it to the parts department at the dealership. That or order it from there. It's the only way to be sure. That may be a part that needs to be special ordered.

If you do a Google search with 1A131, different variations pop up

7L1Z-1A131-A
2L1Z-1A131-AB
6L1Z-1A131-AA

It's best to order it from Ford parts online.

This is great... thanks, all of you... I had searched Levittown parts ( the image of the part came from) but no joy. Same with a few others. I thought I had searched the Ford Part site but did not find it.
Odd how it's called different things... "spare wheel mount"... others "spare tire hoist".. anyway, I'm good to go now. Appreciate it...

I started to google the individual part numbers listed above
Clearly the one isn't compatible, but I got a laugh out of the suggestion. Like thanks for the tips??

Hi Richard,

You might change the name from Hoist to winch... It is a spare tire winch...

best,
Phil

I tried - Hoist - Carrier - Winch, only get the partial base number or the possible full numbers above. But those come up as fitting older Rangers. So, he will need to have a Ford Parts Department dig deeper for him. I find it odd as usually you can search Ebay and they will list a MFG Part # in the description. No luck, Rock Auto is another usually good ref source for Part # as well - No Luck
Someone who has the spare tire down and out of the way, might see one -IDK

Thanks, Phil... I had tried all of them... winch, hoist, mount, lift, thing-a-majig... no joy. I did find the unit for the F150 and other full size trucks, but no Ranger.

PS: To all who have left a post... you might wonder why I want/need this info.

I have acquired a "fifth" wheel (no, not towing) for both my summer and winter wheels, so I can replace the spare tire with a proper matching size that is actually on the truck.

Key issue (and there are a couple to overcome) is the wheel center size. The steel wheel is 3"+/-(??) that the end of the winch chain has to fit through. On the OEM 18" and Fuel 20" that center is 2"+/-(??) (a have not actually measured you, the new Fuel wheel just got here yesterday).

Thus, will the end fit through???

So, I did find a 2019 Ranger winch on eBay and bought that. Now I can bench test it all in the warm basement, rather in the bitter cold outside, laying under the truck.

I'll let you know how it comes out. (Others on the forum may already know as others have put larger tires for the spare. Just not sure what wheels they were using. Searching the forum did not reveal such info.)
