People are Dicks. I don't have an explanation for their actions. I just know they're dicks. Then I will try my Ford Pass.Seriously, that's a lot less likely then the stupid app not working. And what would they do with it anyway?
Strange. I have a set for my truck. What happened to you guys?back in the 70s and 80s I remember when a physical key worked 100% of the time when the internet or AWS was down. Maybe they should bring those keys back in case something like this happens
Until you loose it on the trail.I rely on my key. It's never failed me.![]()
I <3 this thing. I really wish like every other Ford product on the market, it would be hardwired instead of battery operated, but this right here is a main reason for me to buy a Ford. I know, it's really stupid, but the competitor product would have to be just so much better... Like the F-150 vs. Tundra levels of better for me to consider a competitor without a keypad. That's why I got one of these. Never have to take my key and never have to worry about cell signal.

It’d be funnier if I knew what the heck it is.?‍HAL !
THAT is just Way TOO funny !
Is there a thread about these? Do they have to go on the door? How do they connect? Expensive? That's why I got one of these. Never have to take my key and never have to worry about cell signal.

One good thing about the adhesive mount is you can choose wherever you want it installed. You can even install it out of sight, like the fuel door.I <3 this thing. To each their own.Until you loose it on the trail.Seriously, I lost mine once and had to back track about a mile. Good thing it was a paved trail and no one grabbed it.
Also, I go kayaking some and keeping track of a key and keeping it dry is a pain.
Yeah, there is a thread somewhere. They connect just like an additional key fob, so the dealer has to program it. I think it was around $200 installed, which I used Ford Pass credit for. You can have them mounted anywhere. It's just 3M adhesive. Is there a thread about these? Do they have to go on the door? How do they connect? Expensive?
We don't have these in Aus. If they could be hidden in a discreet location, say in the tray somewhere, I'd love to see if one works on our trucks.
One area to hide them is inside the gas door. Not sure if yours is the same as ours but here's an example of one.Is there a thread about these? Do they have to go on the door? How do they connect? Expensive?

I might do that when/if the battery dies and need replaced. Very discreet. One area to hide them is inside the gas door. Not sure if yours is the same as ours but here's an example of one.

It's so much better there than just sticking it on the door. I saw another where they stuck it under the rear window which is a nice spot too.I might do that when/if the battery dies and need replaced. Very discreet.
