I saw this with my old hatch and now I am seeing it with the Ranger. I was almost hit by someone very much in the wrong today. After being honked at their attitude got the best of them and they thought it would be a good idea to pull in behind me when I parked. I didn't see them until I was getting out, my fault for not making sure they didn't just keep driving after they almost hit me. I am not a huge person, but at 6'2" - 260+ pds of not that much fat... I am not exactly little either. The person who had boxed me in changed their mind, got back in quickly, and left in a hurry.
People make fun of people with big trucks for compensating for .. things... but will also assume someone in a smaller car/truck is a small person.
That doesn't even account for the Glock 21SF that I keep on me (that counts for way more - hurray Texas)... but I never had to think about getting it in hand. Just stepping out was enough.
Reason for the post - had something stupid happen and bored (been off work for like a month.. hopefully getting onboarded next week..... )...... also curious who else is "big" and drives a Ranger. I am 100% comfortable in the "little" truck; about the same as I am with full-size trucks. I am sure they ride a bit better but I never felt like I needed an F150, etc.
