Contemplating jumping on this deal, but concerned about external drive size...

I'd take the chance. I recently tried to stuff a much larger one in there in hopes of dealing with the blinking headlight syndrome.

These won't work for low beam as the bulb is not centered with the dust cap.
I've posted about the Car Rover dustcovers before in some other threads and I do like them. They are very flexible and easy to cut and trim, so I have gotten them to work reasonably well in cases where the bulb is off-center relative to the dustcover. It's not perfect when the bulb is as far off-center as in the Ranger, but it can be made to work. Also, I found there are two ways to use them:

1. Use them in the intended way as the photos on the Amazon page show, where the bulb heatsink is placed on the outside of the cover, facing the engine compartment. This avoids overheating problems that some people, including me, are worried about by keeping the bulb heatsink exposed to outside air. While that's an advantage for cooling, I'm anticipating that the bulb heatsinks will build up some dust and grime over time and need to be cleaned every few years with an electronics cleaner spray.

2. Turn them over so they bulge out instead of in and use them like a normal dustcover that covers everything, but then you may want to cover the hole with a small piece of rubber glued over it. I have done this in an older CR-V that we have where the rubber dustcover actually helps keep the bulb in place due to a very strange mounting setup in that car. In that case, I actually left the hole and the heatsink protrudes partway through the hole in a snug fit that holds it in place.

Looking for some advice. I recently installed the Auxito H11 and the Auxito 9005 LED bulbs in the low and high beam respectively. The install went pretty simple and the low beams required very little aiming. I will test them out on the road tonight. Hopefully they look as good at night as they do during the day.

I also ordered another set of the Auxito H11 for the fog lights. After looking through the forum more, another member mentioned the Auxito H11 is not the correct fit for the fog lights. Therefore, I was looking for a fog light compatible LED. It looks like these Car Rover H11 is a compatible fit (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078Y1RMH1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_UZ5NDbT7A99CA). As mentioned by another member. However, The auxitos are listed at 6500K and the Car Rovers are listed at 6000K. Do you guys think there will be a noticeable difference in the color/light? I'd like to have both the low beams and fog lights look as close to the the same as possible. Another option would be to just buy 2 sets of the Car Rovers and switch out the Auxitos I just installed in the low beams.
Thanks in advance.

I would prefer a brighter fog lamp as far as Kelvin go. But with such a small change in color, I don't think you'll see much difference. I have Hikari Ultra as my fog lamps and they are fine.

Which hikari ultra do you have for your fogs? Could you send a link?

Did you also use those for your low beams? I did a test drive at night with my auxitos installed and they seem very bright. I drove in my girlfriend's car while she drove mine and while driving head on, it was almost blinding. I did the aiming with tape on my garage and they seemed aimed low. So, I think the auxitos might be a bit too bright, unfortunately.

Also, in regards to aiming the headlights, is there a special trick in doing so? Or is it simply turning the silver screw located above the lights? Maybe I am doing it wrong and that's why the auxitos seem so bright.

I had them as low beams but the heatsink/fan wouldn't allow the dust caps to fully seat. I ran them as low beams for about a month before switching to the Auxito. I never got flashed with the Hikaris but constantly get flashed with the Auxito, and I never reaimed the Auxito. Previously in this thread, I made mention that I believe a 16k lumen lamp is too much for this reflector housing. I think 12k is the max to safely use without being a nuisance to other drivers.

Do you guys think these Auxitos will work? It looks as if same specs as the original Auxitos that have been posted in this thread, but instead of 16k lumens, they are only 12k Lumens
Just got those and the 9005, there’s a sequencing delay, when headlight come on, passenger comes on first and then the drivers side, same with high beams, highly annoying, going to try the car rovers instead

I just noticed that my car rovers do the same. Not sure what's going on there.
