That thing reminds me a little bit of a DeLorean. . .just uglier.
The only thing this abomination has in common with Delorean is the stainless steel...I still think Elon is playing a joke on the world or he fired his entire design team and just sketched this out on a napkin...

Let's hope that's the case. I can't imagine anybody buying one.

Is that real? It's awful.
Yes it's real and yes it's awful.

It's the 2020 Chevrolet HD pickup.

The local dealer has a row of these beauties.

Yep...We at Truck Operations saw this one....It was shot down by overwhelming veto... Flippin' Marketing. But this is what the forward marketing models are to do. Some weird shit we saw... At one time, our chief designer drove a most hideous vehicle, and elongated hood Lincoln towncar with these Ginormous trombone sized horns on the front fenders. WTF???

Hi Phil...don't know if you've ever been to Ford Design Center but here's something that's never been revealed...as a young designer back in the late 80s, our design chief assigned me to explore taking the Aerostar 4x4 and turn it into a Hummer...never got past this exploration clay stage however...this was shot in the court yard Dearborn:)

Hi Sid,

Yep..been to the Design Center many times... I remember the smell of the clay and the fact we tracked it back to PDC and it was hell on the carpets... We had a few designs die knocked in a green color to see what the "painted version of the clays" would look like, The Aerostar was the 1990 AWD but I never saw this clay... Very Cool! Thanks for the blast from the past...:):):) I hear that the dyno ponds are now gone. Always thought these ponds were somewhat weird on the Engineering Complex. We were plagued by Canada Geese in the ponds until we installed some plastic swans... Was back at the Dearborn Inn for a few days last year to commemorate my now wife and my first date. We could not get into the Engineering complex due to the construction at the time. I was amazed at the construction at DPG...Very large buildings in place of the old Ford Field hangers... All Thanks to pretty boy Mark Fields...a Jacque Nasser clone...

Best.
