For the tri 5 lovers a 57 wagon in clean / restore able shape is for sale on facebook market place in california. pictures show it mostly intact missing some popular parts like grill and other chromes. 7k was the asking price... I felt like the price was low for a tri five esp a wagon style. never see those anymore. thing would make a sweet cruiser and fun weekend ride.

It appears to be a 2 door, but definitely not a Nomad. Ahh! It's a Handyman!

The Nomad was the same length as the Bel Air 2 door Coupe. My buddy had one in Chevy Blue. Same wheel base and overall length as my Bel AIr Coupe.

Still recovering from the MRSA in the knee, and my bride keeps bringing me puzzles to keep me busy. Just finished this one. Lots of nice classic cars! My guesses are an AMX, Mustang, 55/56 Chevy, Camero, Chevelle SS, Malibu SS, Charger, Corvette, and Cuda.

Not a Charger....it's a Dodge Super Bee....Dodge's answer to the Road Runner.
Front grill places it as a 1968 or 1969.

Beat me to it, Steve! they all appear to be '69s except the Tri-5 Chevy, which I believe is a 1955, judging from the white color way. The '56 had a "spear" that ran just past the front wheel well, this one doesn't

Hard to tell from the photo, but the Chevelle on the lift looks like a 68....looks like the taillights are integrated in the bumper. 69 had them on the fender corner above the bumper.

It appears to be a '70: single rectangle taillight vs dual rounds of a '68. Can't see the C-pillar well enough to know for sure. Does it come to a point like a '68-69 or is it squared off like a '70-'72?
Agreed that the taillight is not a '69, but, the color is (Rally Green)!?
That color was a 1969 MY color only, on Chevelle- Camaro may have had it in '68.

The AMC looks to be a 1969 or 1970 SST Javelin, or AMX with the tri-color red/white/blue paint. Hood scoop also puts it as an SST. I remember those tri color AMC's. My neighbor had an AMC American in that color.
Fun trying to pick stuff out, and the maker of the puzzle took some liberties...never heard of "Hooper Tires"...

Zoom in on the SuperBee. Definitely a '69 side marker light; '68s were round with a chrome bezel.. The '70 had a bizarre split grille that looked out of place with the rest of the car.

I Googled Hooper Tires. There is a Hooper Tire Service in Hooper, NE and two Hooper Tires Outlets in NY.

i think we're driving some of the folks on the forum who were born after 911 crazy with the minutiae.

One last year verification, the Cuda is a '70, first year of the coupe body style. Also the driving lights below bumper. Has the shaker hood. Could be a Hemi, probably a 440, can't read the hood or rear fender stripe. I had one!

I knew the cars were all 68-70 excerpt for the 55-56 in the bay. Chrysler had siblings that resembled each other, and I wasn't a Mopar guy back then, although I loved those cuda's.

I miss the styling of those cars. Modern cars all look the same.

My sister had a deep green 68 Coronet 440 that was a beautiful car. It drove wonderfully.

This is "A Back in the Day" thread. I think we are safe.

I just noticed something else. the Sign on the chimney is done in the style of an Interstate, red over blue, white characters. There is no I-66 on the Interstate system. The sign on the right edge is period correct, with the state name divided by a line and "US" followed by the hiway number:
Unknown.jpeg

The current signage is simplified:

AH HA !!!!! Gotcha ya !!!
There is an I-66....runs east/west between I-81 outside of Winchester Va to the DC area and connects with I-495...the Beltway.
We take it monthly driving to our son's home in Vienna, Va. :turkey::turkey::turkey:

Oh, that I-66!

I drove OTR semi and occasionally got to the Baltimore-DC area, but stayed on the east side on I-495. Embarrassingly, I probably drove on I-66 a time or two going thru Manassass, Just didn't recall it.
