Has anyone had the lane assist go out on them? I still can turn on/off with controls, but it doesn't work. The "lanes" that appear on the dash are missing. Hoping there may be an easy fix before I contact the dealership. Apparently, the truck knew I was trying to sell, which I changed my mind about, it's staying with me when I move to South Carolina.

So, you’re able to toggle it on/off with the button on the end of the turn signal stalk and change settings in the dash menu screens using the steering wheel buttons but the lines disappeared? Odd.

Turn signal stalk? I'll go take a look, maybe I hit it, never happened before. Never knew anything was there.

Well I'll be, that was it. I really appreciate you keeping me from being that dumbass customer at the dealership.
Glad to help.

I certainly wouldn’t want you being that person either. Now, if you were a Tacoma driver and I thought I knew the trouble, I would have told you to go to the dealership and raise holy Hannah and then to rage post about poor service in a couple of different threads on TacomaWorld. ;)

On an unrelated repair, just had my foggy rear camera replaced, crystal clear. I have lost my alignment lines, but more important, I lost the yellow and red markers telling me how close I am. I went through the settings, and in preview, it shows them both. Can you save me again?

I would use Forscan and get the DTC codes. You may have to clear any codes, but record the numbers first. There may be an initialization procedure for the new camera.

Was the camera the same part number as the original?

Thanks, I'm trying to avoid the travel. I know Duke is very knowledgable, and figured it might be an easy fix I can do without the hassle of dealership trip.
Turns out the dealership didn't initialize the camera. Ugh, 1 1/2 hour round trip. At least I don't need to make appointment. Thankfully, and hopefully, this is the last time I see them, as I move to SC Monday morning.

I appreciate the sentiment and I’m glad Bob’s post has helped lead you to getting it resolved because, honestly, I had nuthin’. :D

Also, commenting to @RangerBill that I’m knowledgeable is kinda like telling Elon Musk that your neighbour who just paid cash for a new truck, is “rich”. ;)

I actually have this same issue/question! I’m glad you asked it. I also didn’t know about the toggle on/off button on the turn signal. I’m going to test it later today. Must have bumped it months ago.

I went 6 years, 60K miles with never hitting that button, or even knowing it was there.

Yes -its one of those (buttons) that's kind of hidden - I had the display on the screen and wanted it off - spent some time going through the menu - no change - Finally did the proper thing and actually go back through my brief skim of the owner's manual and then saw the button.
I had this (quirk) issue on my way to work a few days after picking it up, I now know where its at and honestly (Never) use it.
