Officially clocked 167 mph, 1967 Mustang sedan with a 428 CJ medium rise manifold with 4 corner idle Holley carbs and 2.27 gears with the bullet proof C6 trans at Roger Ward’s Silver State 100 race.. those little whoops are like speed bumps.

A timed race for your target time but the Porsche that started ahead was smack talking… 30 seconds between car starts.. the hell with that , caught him at the “narrows “ where it becomes twisty… first turn damn near rear ended the smack talker, passed him like he was standing still… blew out my time target but it was worth it, came in 46th place because penalties were doubled for too fast…

that Porsche just drove thru the pit stop not looking at anyone lol!!

it was worth it and I still have the video on VHS lol…

Ok I have to fess up, it was my late father that did that, facts are the same but I was the navigator in the right hand seat… when we reached that first turn in the narrows I had to pull the seat covers out of my butt…

He used to race Roger Ward and they both highly respected each other.. when we went through tech inspection Roger waive him out as clear… I was fortunate to be able to sit ana listen to them swap stories….

In my mind they’re both legends… Ok Roger won 2 Indy races but my dad won World Championship go kart in 1961 at Cape Girardeau, MO. I’m named after him…

1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 @171 radar from State Police. ? The story goes as this. Was on 95N and got pulled over. Asked why and officer said he hadn’t seen one yet and wanted to see it up close. Asked if I would pop the hood so he could take a look. Mind you this is on the side of a highway with his lights on. So I obliged and pointed out the setup. He then says can we see what it will do? I’m like seriously, is this a setup? Really??? He answers just up the road is RT295. Got my partner about 2 miles down the road, I’ll follow you. I want to see if I can keep up and he will radar you for your top end. I’m shaking my head but…. To good to be true! Well that’s how it went down. We talked some more afterwards, ya, he couldn’t keep up!

I'm sure the old Crown Vic did it's best...I doubt it could keep up with our 5G...???

Now their new Ford Explorer Police Interceptor... Different story. We get blown out the water. Even fully modded we would have a good fight. Unless you hit the CRP turbo with HPFP and E85 tune.

I hit 167mph (268km/h) in my Skoda, still building speed. It's a quick little item ?
I got my Falcon ute to 146 but it was very twitchy at that speed.

For me it was 187 and some small change mph in a Nascar Busch car on the high banks of Michigan International speedway.

Fastest for me was on my old 1998 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-9R, this was the biggest ZX at the time. I had a gear left and looked down briefly to check the speed and it said 147mph! I was riding with a sport bike club, who were mostly on 600's, that tried to leave me on a 4 mile straightaway, hahaha!

Top speed on this monster was 174mph, but I never made it that high, LOL! Pic isn't the greatest, but here it is:
