Gladiators are a dime a dozen in Suburban Atlanta too. I can count on one hand the number of Rangers I’ve seen in the past 6 months.

At my shooting range I saw a loaded silver one parked. I did a walk around and I hate to say it but it looked really good.

At my shooting range I saw a loaded silver one parked. I did a walk around and I hate to say it but it looked really good.

I've only seen two. One was sitting out front a the dealer and the other I drove up next to the other day. The jury is still out for me (they're starting to grow on me) as I've never walked around one up close yet. I'm getting my oil changed Thursday and my dealership is on dealers row where almost every manufacturer is on this main strip so if I have time and if there's a Jeep dealer there I might stop in and check it out.

I’d never buy a Chrysler product. My dad always used to say that they haven’t been any good since the late ‘50s. I’m with him on that.

I know Jeeps are kinda built around basic, but the Gladiator just looks like an overpriced metal frame built around plastic to me.

I'm beginning to really like the look of the Gladiator in top trim but would never buy due to the reliability, it must have a harsh ride and noise and cost.

I first saw a gladiator driving from afar and thought it might be cool, then got a chance to look at one close and I think they’re hideous, plus like other have mentioned it’s a Chrysler product, double puke...

They're starting to show up in DC/VA/MD. The collision center where I had my Ranger is part of a FCA outlet. I really like the idea of a Gladiator, but on inspection, they don't hold up. Basically, an overwrought Wrangler with a price tag that's $30K to high.

Having owned many Jeeps over the years I was waiting to buy a truck until the Gladiator came out. Once they released the specs I realized how long they were ( too long to practically fit in my garage) and I checked out everything else. The Ranger won the day and I have been very happy with my choice.

I have a JL Rubicon on 37’s and looked at the Gladiator. It’s a bit too long and the engine is a turd at 7k ft. The Ranger was much cheaper and with lots of power. My Rubicon has the turbo 4 and runs terrific. At this point my Jeep seems a bit stronger than my Ranger. Even with 37s. The Ranger rides great but the Uconnect system in the Jeep is leaps and bounds better than the Sync.
I really like the Ranger but bought it as a second vehicle for us. It’s terrific and I will be installing a leveling kit in it, so when we are out and about we can still run a few trails. I think the Ranger will do the easy stuff better than the Gladiator. Much better ride and power. But for the harder stuff, I’ll leave it at home.
