iOS ONLY-FordPass update 5.9.0-FAIL…

Well, Ford released 5.9.0 today for iOS. It is supposed to add back the ability to add service records. There is nowhere in the app where you can add records. It is also supposed to add “real-time updates” to vehicle data such as location. I’m not sure this is working either.

If you update your iOS device and these features are missing, don’t waste an hour like I did talking to FordPass. I got a case opened on so let’s see where that goes.

They did mention some things are on hold for Android devices so I am not sure what the latest version is for those.

Well, mine does show location for both my Mustang and my Ranger tire pressure, oil life and mileage. I do not see where I could enter any maintenance info only schedule maintenance from a dealer.

I still can’t see a way to add to service history. (IOS) This has been broken for quite a while. Come on Ford.

Just did the update and the Add service feature is back on the app

Go to service/reference/service history. Top right corner you will see an "Add" Highlighted in blue.. AND, it actually works!!!

I see it there now. Yesterday when I first installed the update it was not there. I guess they had some things to do on the back end to get it working. Still nowhere to upload a receipt like we used to have though.

Take a pic of your receipt with your phone, then highlight and paste the "Text" info into the "Notes" section of the app.

I just hit the update in the App Store, and it went from 5.8.2 to 5.8.3 with no difference, including the error msg when clicking on Connected Services. ?‍ Everything went south when they took away the mountain range background on the home page.

Funny cuz I complained to them directly about needing real time location and they emailed a denial back to me. Finding your truck later after it’s stopped is far less helpful than watching it move if stolen or for many other reasons. Hope they did add it, but I highly doubt it
