Same here. After my wife gets out of the passenger side, I always have to reach over and fix the belt.
It has become habit.

Mine isn't automatic yet. I have to drive along for many miles before I get totally annoyed, then fix it.

That's what mine was. Two weeks of insanity until someone here mentioned it to me.

My rattle is the passenger side seat belt, when it is retracted, it gets cocked sideway and rattles against the pillar. I have to reach over and straighten it anytime someone has been in the seat and then vacated, or I get a loud banging rattle. That is all...

Finally found the source for the noise this morning. You were spot on! THANKS!!!

I had a similar rattle coming from the sunglasses holder area. Pulled the panel assembly out and discovered that there both small screws had fallen out. The dome lights and sunglass holder assembly are held in the bezel with plastic clips. The bezel itself is screwed into a frame that is secured to the headliner. Both of the two screws has backed out and causing a rattle between the bezel and the upper mounting assembly.

Thank you for this, I had an obnoxious rattle and when I pulled that assembly out both the screws on mine fell out also, now she's quiet as can be
