What gets me every time is when the sound of distant sirens are in the song or advertisement. I'm always looking in all mirrors and getting ready to pull over....then I turn down the radio and think I'm an idiot. You're not all alone OP.
this song will help soothe your nerves, loved these guys :

When I was 14, I "worked" (got in the way, mostly) on a small farm run by two old bachelors who were around 80 years old, and a hired hand, Jimmy. Occasionally, I got to drive the haywagon & tractor, herd the 30-odd head of dairy cows to the barn etc. There was an 11 (almost 12) year old girl that used to come around with some other friends once in a while And we grew kinda sweet on each other. One day Jimmy asked me to take the truck and go pick up Percy, one of the brothers, who was doing fence repair in a pasture. This was Perc's brand new 1964 Chevrolet pickup with a six and a granny gear manual.
I remember I was really hoping to impress my girly-girl, so I hopped into the driver's seat, fired up the big six, dropped'er in 1st, and... It wouldn't budge. OK, I'lll drop it in low, roll out the clutch... killed it. After a half dozen attempts, Jimmy came over and said "lemmee see somethin'." He opened the door, reached in and released the handbrake, which was a lever under the dash. I was mortified. I knew Lynn would never in a million years want to marry me now.

I happened to run into her some 25 years later and she remembered that day, too.

The best "I'm an idiot" stories usually involve the opposite sex.

When you're young and "in love", the opposite sex can bring out all kinds of idiotic ideas that are initially meant to impress.

The term "young, dumb, and full of cum," didn't come up with itself.

We've got a driver at work who is "transitioning" from female to male. On top of all the other weirdness that goes along with that the driver always has this odd "energy" about "him." At first I suspected stimulants of some sort, coke, meth, Adderall, who knows. But talking with "him" I'm pretty sure that's not the case.

It's the testerone, that shit makes you crazy.

Thought about asking him for the plug as I'm probably at that age I could use a little "extra."

10 is the max I can go on my B&O. I usually listen at 8. Yeah, 12 would probably make my ears fall off.
One thing my shop did was install high end car audio and after 20 years of that , especially after the 90's big BOOM craze , I just roll with the factory system now . The B&O in the Ranger is pretty decent if you get the settings dialed in .

The 1st car audio I installed was in 1980 in my high school '72 Mustang . I adapted the lower doors and rear deck to hold 6x9 tri-axials and used a Kraco 5 band EQ with 50 watts of power ! It was the first time anyone at my school had felt the bass of Another One Bites the Dust in a car ,Lol . My best friend would always reach over and turn it up as loud as it would go whenever Boston would be playing . He always said the only way to listen to Boston was very loud and that my system was the only way to enjoy it . Sadly he took his own life but to this day whenever Boston comes on , LOUD is the only way I listen to it . He would have liked the Rangers B&O .

Your post made me smile and sad at the same time. The loss of a friend is so hard. It’s great you have those memories & I agree…I crank it up when Boston comes on. “More Than A Feeling” is one of my favorites.
I also like the bass in “Another One Bites The Dust”. I admit to cranking it up. Just can’t leave it long. :)

That was mine too Richard (same year) at the Springfield Civic Center back in MA. Sammy Hagar was the backup band and no one really knew who he was back then.

Yepp, the Red rocker. He kicked ass. You remember he was in Montrose? Seen Montrose in the Rainbow Music hall in Denver. That place was rocking with Sammy.

I’ve only been to two concerts in my life. The Oakridge Boys & Kool and the Gang. Yeah, I’m wild that way. :turkey:

Some stoner trivia here , and this was the first one I tried and I swear it worked, but if you spin "another one bites the dust " backwards , it says "it's fun to smoke Marijuana " , Freddie had the best voice of all time , awesome preformer...
