Ideas to fix a squeak.

My waste gate squeaks. I have tried to get used to it and/or ignore it. It actually still bugs me after 2 months. Not familiar with how it works as my last 2.3 liter turbo was made in 1985 and had no waste gate (plenty of other issues, PLENTY - but no waste gate) Haha.

I know others have mentioned it before but I don't remember reading any solutions.

Yes, I would bet we are hearing the same squeak!

Mine squeaks like crazy too. I've just learned to live with it. I would certainly welcome a solution though.

Great,now I hear the squeak! In the 2 months I've owned my Ranger I've never heard any squeak. I'm sure it was there but I never noticed it. Saw this post earlier this morning before going out and sure enough....it squeaks!

Tri- Flow for anything that squeaks... maybe even a mouse if you use enough!

since its just a c-clip on a shaft, pop it off, slather some grease on it and put it back together.

Better use some really high temp lube otherwise it will cook off and gum it up. A silicone ceramic brake lube would certainly hold up to the heat.

Anybody find a solution to this? Mine has been squeaking for over a year and I've just been living with it. A little worried this is going to develop into a failure in the long run though.

Brake pad grease or carbon graphite lock spray. I used graphene lubricant on mine. It was developed for high temp high pressure fracking. Did that 2 years ago and been fine since
