Great video Thomas! Man that's a wild ride and makes you feel like you're in it through some of those corners. I hope you don't mind but I added the YouTube video to your post. I know some don't like clicking on links so this way they can watch it here.

NO TALKING....JUST THE NOISE....I want to hear more of that noise from that supercharged beastie under the hood!!!!

That is so awesome that car did that...with folks freaking out about a Mustang that deep in to six figures but sitting with other cars farther in the same price range.

Sure I'd need to win lotto money to buy it. But like cars I grew up coveting like Pantera's, Testerossa's and Aston Martins that Mustang will be posters on walls.

The kid in me that had those posters would gladly add that GTD to the wall of my imagination.

Got a lotto ticket in the truck...fingers crossed. :p

Here's an update from FA. Looks like they'll be bringing the Mustang GTD back to Nurburgring in 2025 looking to improve on it's performance.

https://fordauthority.com/2024/12/jim-farley-says-ford-mustang-gtd-will-return-to-nurburgring/

“The team behind Mustang GTD took what we’ve learned from decades on the track and engineered a Mustang that can compete with the world’s best supercars,” said Jim Farley, Ford President and CEO. “We’re proud to be the first American automaker with a car that can lap the Nürburgring in under seven minutes, but we aren’t satisfied. We know there’s much more time to find with Mustang GTD. We’ll be back.”

The Ford Mustang GTD team will indeed return to the Nurburgring at some point in 2025, aiming to best its already historic lap time of 6:57:685 with Multimatic Motorsports driver Dirk Müller behind the wheel – the fifth-fastest time posted by a stock production sports car at the track, according to official records, and the GTD is just the sixth vehicle in that class to break the seven-minute barrier as well.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see if Ford can indeed improve upon its impressive performance at the ‘Ring, and perhaps even come a bit closer to some of its rivals there, such as the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and its lap time of 6:49.328, the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, which did the same deed in 6:48.047, or any number of other European machines that have managed to set blazingly quick times at the iconic German circuit in recent years.
