It's a long read but this thread https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/thre...-date-and-build-date-by-ranger5g-member.1286/ is basically a chronicle of info on how to track the progress and what you should expect. Things seem to have smoothed out since they started production late last year but it's a good place to start. If the dealer has a build date they almost certainly have a VIN, particularly if it's scheduled for three weeks out. For me, this site has helped in that it helps me stay one step ahead and throw around some "inside lingo" which helps keep the dealer professional. YMMV.
Thanks for the quick response. My dealer sent me the VIN. Its currently in "Processing" with an ETA of 4/21. Everything under the options looks correct except it shows an open differential 3.73 when it should be the electronic locking axle. That is a known issue with the tracker that self corrects right?

Ask the dealer for the DORA, that will show exactly what was ordered. At this point it's too late to change but that will clear things up.

My vehicle in the tracker switched back and forth from open to locking almost every other time I opened the tracker, until the window sticker became available. Like FL Eng said, the DORA is the final say in how the truck will be built.

Yeah, that's what I figured based on some other posts on this forum. It hasn't changed on my tracker yet so I'm waiting for the DORA from the dealer. In the mean time, I ordered a few nice accessories to hold me over during the wait including the auto start stop eliminator from TRL Automotive https://www.autostopeliminator.com/store/p15/ford-ranger-ae006.html

I had a rental F150 for an extended period of time and the auto start was very annoying. There are several options for disabling it but the TRL was the cleanest solution for me so it was my first buy for the Ranger.

I'm also looking into the various spray in bed liner options.

Happy waiting!
