I just checked the dealer's website where I got mine, they have what appears to be my same truck in-stock, but it's a 2022 and it's $40,445... my 2021 was $38,945 and I have more options.
Base price and destination charges have gone up with the '22s. Did they also add a FMA on it?

I wonder if that is dealer specific or from Ford.
Ford.
The dealer gets a flat rate fee from that for delivery, Logistics between the plant and the dealership get the rest. It is a flat rate across the Lower 48 at least, don't know about AK, HI or Territories. You pay the same $1295 D/D at Jack Demmer Ford, 1 mile from MAP as you would at Chula Vista (CA) Ford 2,331 miles away. In the 80's, I sold at a Ford dealer that was six miles from the Twin Cities Assembly Plant (TCAP) where Rangers were built back then. We'd get a few Ranger customers that would rant about having to pay $595 or whatever it was then for D/D. "Why can't we just take a bus down the road and pick it up ourselves??"

That is interesting, always wondered. In the past I have argued with dealers on the D/D charges, especially on motorcycles where they charge for freight and assembly.

I don't know how powersports OEM's do it, whether they flat rate it or not. I suspect that the prep charge is up to the individual dlr as that can vary dlr to dlr for the same bike.

And yet, here I am, constantly checking email, checking the tracking site... it's an obsession. ?

So, is the final week before estimated delivery always this bad??
Be careful what you wish for. Missus and I just had a solar array put on the house, and took a loan for it. Now, we were planning on selling our RV and buying a travel trailer this spring to tow behind the Ranger. So, we did something stupid and started looking around at trailers. Lo and behold, our dealer had the model we wanted at his Colorado Springs location, and it's still under RV show (winter) pricing. Every dealer I've called is sold out of this particular model and won't get any more in until June/July. So, we had to move on it. Like, now. Farrrrghh!

Uh, a LOT of money flying out the door, and sooner than I'd thought. Can we just slow this whole thing down a bit? Now, we're signing for another loan hot on the heels of the first one, I need to find a place to keep the trailer until our Class-C RV is sold. And then insurance. And this. And that.

Just slooooow it all doooowwwwn!

I get you. It won't be much better for me, as I have repair bills on the wife's car coming due this week (whole new rear axle), plus have to figure out whether to trade my Tundra or sell outright, plus have to file taxes and see how much Uncle Sam wants to poke me for based on last years stock trading gains...

.... Am I the only one that feels/felt this way? (and please don't take this as a complaint in any way shape or form...)

From order placement, to scheduling, to in progress, to built, to shipped. Everything went surprisingly fast. (way faster than many others have had to endure)

ETA for delivery is 2/24/22.... Is the last week before estimated delivery always this emotionally painful? LOLOL

I thought I would be so cool about it, and laid back, and 'heyyy it gets here when it gets here.'

And yet, here I am, constantly checking email, checking the tracking site... it's an obsession. ?

Got lucky, three on the lot at the dealer I bought from. I hate ordering vehicles. Always like to buy right off the lot. Patience is not my thing:LOL:

If I ordered one, I would have probably gone nuts ordering everything on the planet or I would have gone bare bones after the sticker shock of adding everything on the planet and ended up with a base, glad I just got my random ranger in a color I would have never considered.

Patience is not my thing either ?
