Got new tires (275/65 R18) installed on FX4 Lariat at same time I had Bilstein 5100's installed to lift front level. Stock rims.

They fit and look great with no rubbing so far during street driving.

I did notice that when I stuck my hand behind tire there is only 1/2" or so of space between front spindle and inside of tire. I'm thinking this shouldn't be an issue but want to check with folks more knowledgeable before I take it offroading.

A 1/2" is more than enough. As the suspension flexes the distance between the tire and spindle stays the same.

Be careful if you air down. It should be the bottom that flexes the most but I just want to mention it.

Even woth an air down it will be fine. Never had the issue on my ranger and im pretty sure I had 285/70-17 woth no spacers on factory wheels.

I just happened to check behind mine today after I put the new grabbers on last week and I can't put a finger between the tire and spindle, probably 1/2'' clearance. No rub marks or anything though so good enough I guess.
