Pretty cool European truck camper now available in the US. Really pushing the weight limits of the Ranger in my mind (Never mind the owners manuals saying no to TC) but pretty doggone cool.

Wouldn't work in my life as it is missing the one big requirement if my wife is going to accompany me...... bathroom. But it appears to be a well thought out product.

You can’t go wrong with all that headroom.

They’re certainly very nicely done, I’m just saying they seem a bit tall, especially with the RTT. ?

I would either buy a pull behind or just go with a Class A ....

Trailer is definitely what the wife and I are going to do. But, if money was burning a hole in my pocket I'd totally buy a Ford dually (blue) and a truck camper. Personally, I think truck campers are the way to go. Rented them a few times on vacation. Always a blast. And when boondocking they just give you so many options from a maneuverability standpoint.

This is why I spent a year "researching" pickups before buying my blue baby. I was really close to buying a dually. (Wife was less than thrilled at the thought, though she loves truck campers.) Ultimately I just don't want to pay the money required for a dually (or any super duty.... or F150 with more than a seat and steering wheel option) because then I have to buy a truck camper. And TC's are the most expensive RV per square foot. The ones I'm interested in are just flat out damned expensive. But I still sit here with my buddy google and do the "What if...." routine.

So many great memories of truck campers from my mid- to late-teens in the 70s. As I think about it, a lot of folks had truck campers back then. Ours always seemed so big inside. Maybe it was the 8’ bed of our pickup, maybe it was because much of our time was spent outside. We lived in Calgary and mostly used it to get away to the Rockies in Banff, the Kananaskis area, or into British Columbia. Sometimes, we would go with another family that also had a camper. There was a ski resort where you could plug-in and stay overnight - I think it was free. Never a bad weekend camping - good times, for sure. ?
