Got my Ranger last week, I love the truck. Was going to give it a bath yesterday and noticed this:

If you look, the hood from the left is raised just a little bit. I had seen the front a few times, but never noticed until I really started looking. I asked my wife if she noticed anything, she couldn't spot it.

I know I'm probably being ultra picky here, but is there anything I can do?

There are some rubber knobs that the hood rests on located on the flat platform under the hood as well as some on the underside of the hood itself. Check to see if one is twisted up higher than the other.

Thanks for the quick response!

I went and looked, from eyeballing they seem fine? I didn't have time to measure, just snapped some shots.

If that's the case you can try the dealer. My suspicion is that they're going to raise the height of the right side to match.

Also, can't tell from the pics but is the front grille on straight? Just curious if that might be off a bit and making the hood SEEM crooked.

I'm not sure on the grill, it seems fine? Again, no one will notice, but I see it and I know I'm probably going overboard, I'm guessing the dealer probably wouldn't bother.

Hi folks,

I fussed with my hood quite a bit....iterative process. Most effective was the front hood bumpers. Mine were off a couple twists to get hood alignment. Wish Ford had a better process of alignment as it seems to be lacking. Sigh....

If it bothers you, you can always crank out the right side a bit til it levels out. Good luck whatever path you decide. ?

Crank out the rubber things? That's a good idea, I'll try that.

Made the rubber on the side come up more, it's even now, just a hair raised on the right driver side now. I can live with that though. Called the dealer, he said it's an issue they've been made aware of, but it'll likely be found within spec. Not worth the trouble.

My hood was the same, down on drivers side, a little turn of the rubber bump stop and all was nice nice. Maybe we all should send Ford a bill for labor for the quality control issues we fix lol.

I've noticed for a while now that my driver's side fender was off a pinch. It's not too noticeable, maybe only by me, but after reading this thread I might do something about it.
