I purchased this sway bar for my 21 Ranger FX4,and I have to say its excellent. It made all the difference in the world with stability and handling. Cornering is extremely crisp now and no more tippy feelings. I purchased the Bilstein 5100's first and they definitely made an improvement but I'm wondering now if the Hellwig alone would have given me the control I was looking for. I think I could have saved on the Bilsteins and went right for the Hellwig and got the outcome I was looking for.
I set the Hellwig on the stiffest setting and have no plans to test the other 2 settings. I don't go off road and don't need any extra clearance as the bar when installed correctly is about 1/2" lower than the rear differential which is not a problem for me. I guess what I'm trying to say it may be wise to try the Hellwig first if your looking for more stability in your suspension, instead of new shocks front and rear . Obviously this is my own preference after having both items(sway bar and just the rear Bilsteins) on the Ranger.
