I would have pulled the related fuses and skipped the tow and used the truck until the dealer could get it scheduled. I had to do about the same thing when the AC started leaking, to protect the system, and prevent more loss, I pulled the compressor relay. Now, if it continued to heat with the related fuses pulled, yes, disconnect battery and tow.

I should have, the warranty folks had it towed to a dealer that im not the biggest fan of, I'm going to call the dealer I bought it from and hope they can handle it sooner. A week driving the wifes kia doesn't sound like a good time.

Maybe, but I bet it beats walking everywhere you need to go.

Just got off the phone with the dealership, driver side heating element shorted out. Checking to see if my extended warranty will cover it, if not it'll be $990 out the door.

Beginning to think Ford's warranty doesn't cover anything. Stuff like this is why I bought the extended warranty. But, now......

I'm canceling mine when I pick up the truck. On prior vehicles anytime I needed the warranty they've denied coverage.
