I was lucky enough to walk on a lot and find a Ranger XLT Tremor 2021 SuperCrew. But with less than 1000miles on it when the auto stop kicks in at stoplights for 30 seconds or so, I get a brief gasoline scent.. anyone else experiencing this with a new Ranger?

Normal burn off from exhaust and chassis. Or new car smell we like to call it.
What were they trying to get for it?

No, that doesn't sound right, especially if you are smelling raw gas. The fuel dilution issue is internal, if you are smelling raw gas I would suspect an external leak. These systems are running two fuel pumps, with the fuel rail psi in the thousands, and that pressure will fluctuate between startups. Worth having this looked at, wouldn't want your next post to be about your roadside bonfire.

Itā€™s not a new car smell for sure. Itā€™s a solid ā€˜when am I going to light on fireā€™ scent

Itā€™s under warranty, itā€™s time for me to get it checked out 100%

Not unusual at all for a gasoline engine's exhaust to smell like gas when the engine start's.

The truck cab doesn't smell when it starts normally. Doesnā€™t smell when it stops normally. But for 2 seconds after each A/S/S it reeks of gas and quickly dissipates. I wasnā€™t asking what it was.. I was asking if other owners experience it with the A/S/S?

Does your Ranger smell after A/S/S? But not after a normal start?

My truck exhaust smells like gas fumes every time I start it. I drive with the windows down a lot... and I park it in my shop that has a manual garage door. So yes I notice it every time.

Rangers have 2 open vents in the back of the cab. Depending on how your HVAC is set, it's not uncommon to smell outside air inside the vehicle. That's why there is a recirculate function.

I rarely use a/c.

This is a little more harsh statement than your original post. If you would have wrote it this way from the get-go then I would have said heck yeah get it to the dealer pronto.
