This drives me crazy. Any Dem official or appointee gets a free pass. DC votes 94% Dem and their juries do too.

There's a bill the house has that I can't recall the name of that requires any proposed rule any gov agency wants to implement must be voted on by congress if it makes an impact in the economy of 100 million dollars (not sure the exact number. That sounds like a crazy large number but with 350 million people a rule costing a third of the population a dollar would make it be passed. These behind the scene bureaucrats can pass anything without the consent of the governed an never face them. IF we ever get a gov of, by an for the people this bill needs to be passed and made law.

It looks like there's a "legal" way around this to keep your brace on while they sort this mess out. A judge has ordered another injunction late yesterday. By joining GOA,SAF or FPC you're covered under the injunction while they sort this out.

It's shit like this that really points out what a marketing scam the gun industry really is.

"Buy this thing that the evil ATF says is ok."

Then when they change their mind...

"Join my group so you can keep your widget."

That whole thing seems fishy as hell.

Yes I agree to a point. Theses were filed on behalf of these 3 groups so anyone belonging to them is now covered while this gets sorted out in court. It's really no different than any other case where there's multiple people involved and they're covered under one injunction. This one just happens to be about firearms. I think SAF is only $15/yr so it's a small price to pay if it makes someone feel more comfortable while the courts sort this out.

One thing I wouldn't chance is taking it out to a public range and trying to fight this with the ATF.

Ughhhhh. I have the hankering to buy guns. I wanted to build up a budget conceal carry/home defense gun for fun as something to write an article about and shoot a video for work, but I found out my company doesn't have a very amicable relationship with the company that sells the gun. So I decided to investigate doing the same project with a Glock instead and found that, even with my discounts, I'm looking at a $1500 kit out. boooo!

Take a really good look at the IWI Masada Slim 9mm partnered with a Vortex Defender CCW 6moa dot. I was considering several different options, including another Glock and found the Masada slim to have a better price, better trigger, and better grip texture.

An added bonus for the masada slim....it accepts CZ75 magazines in addition to the 13rd mags it comes with.

More good news for a change! The 5th circuit court struck down the ATF on their attempt to regulate frames and receivers, ie 80% "ghost guns". This sets up the next move to strike down the pistol brace rule which by this new ruling should be struck down soon.

Do any of you know much...or have much, if any experience with the G3-ish series of Taurus handguns?
I know they're inexpensive, and that in the past Taurus has not had a great reputation with their handguns, but supposedly things are looking up for them of late.
I've been thinking of looking into one and was hoping for some practical advice on a budget 9mm.

Thanks in advance!

I had a Taurus (can't remember now which one) a long time ago. While it was ok I personally didn't like the way it felt in my hands and it was heavy.

Chris, have you looked at the S&W M&P 9mm line? They have so many different ones from full size to compacts and all the ones I've had over the years have been flawless. My M&P Shield has a nice thin grip and is lightweight and super easy to conceal. You can get them for right around the same price as a Taurus and they have a no BS lifetime warranty.

You're gonna laugh, but I find most of them butt ugly for some reason ?
But I probably should look, I guess. I have a model 915 9mm that has never failed to fire. Bought back in the 90's....early 90's.

Most budget guns are boring looking. You only get "sexy" when you get into the 1911's. lol

Most important (I know you know this) is how it feels in your hands. I always go to my local store, try a bunch out then order it online. Me having small hands it's hard to find ones that fit me right that I really like. Glocks feel like I'm holding a brick and to me those are butt ugly. ?
