I picked up 2 boxes of those mini shells. The 1 3/4" buckshot ones. In the KSG it will hold 14! Not sure how much of a wallop they deliver but for close home defense they should get the job done
I've got a few of those rounds......buckshot I believe.......may not carry as much of a wallop as a 2 3/4 or 3" shell but will get the job done! More rounds in the KSG.

I have a Sub 2000 in 9. I have a 19 round an a 33 round glock mag for it. It's a fun toy but I don't consider it a serious weapon. It can be picky about ammo an will no run aluminum case.
Aluminum case 9mm is about as low quality as you can run. My Sub2000 is as reliable as my CZ Scorpion and both run quality 115-147gr factory ammo very well. I’ve shot USPSA matches with the Sub2000 even.

Outside of AKs, I try not to judge a firearm by its ability to run cheap ammo.

is it that the chamber is not fully supported like the older glocks in 40sw? or does the sub simply not cycle aluminum?

I bought a shit ton of steel case Wolf 9mm when it was .12/round with free shipping back in early 2020 from Targetsportsusa. I'll run it through my pistol carbines and my CZ Scorpion without any hiccups. The only ones I won't run it through are my 1911's. I'm sure it'll be fine but they're expensive and deserve better ammo. lol It's a little dirtier but some extra cleaning is worth the savings.

I shot Silver Bear .223 for about a half season of 3-Gun in 2012 for the same reason. I had no issues running it and clearing a few malfunctions total for several months and thousands of rounds….until I built a nicer rifle with a nicer barrel. Race cars get race fuel. ?

I like it. My son has the other green frame. He saw the black and wants to trade his green one one for my black. Told him ok. Bring it over. We'll see tomm if he changes his mind.
