i hate to see the 40 drop out of favor. ive always kinda liked it. felt it was a good in between round compared to 9x19 and 45acp. I know modern ammo etc. i get it. but id be willing to bet if in attacker is not slowed by a 40 a 9x19 will not do the trick either. seems like speed vs weight is the never ending study when it comes to rounds. i do admit that the 40 is more snappy than some rounds in the same arena but ive always leaned more toward heavy than fast. Im old enough that i do not fully trust a 9x19 unless im able to get the very best ammo but young enough that anything wssm gap sig tcm etc is not even a round worth looking into for anything more than fun lol. i find 45 acp is easier on my hands and wrist to shoot than 9 x19 and 40. this will sound silly but the 9 and 40 seem like a barrel raising SNAP, upward whip feeling while the 45 acp feels more like a shove backwards on the hand, less barrel raise less whip crack feel but more stout feeling on the hand. hard to explain. im guessing a lot of it is what the rounds are coming out as far as the difference in feel.
.45 is usually a nice soft push as far as feel, especially in a steel framed pistol.

The caliber debates will always go on….but in my mind the 9mm wins until capacity restrictions come into play. If I can only play with 7-10rds, I want bigger and more powerful rounds. With 9mm, I deal with less recoil and take a “deliver a lot to the everywhere” policy that should result in a lot of leakage points.

There’s a threaded barrel available for those of you have suppressors and those suppress fairly well. Love mine.

They come with a small adapter that fits on the barrel.......and yes, they are quiet with my cans as well! This thing feeds Federal blue box, Wildcats, subsonics, CCI semi-auto 835fps. And really really quiet with the 835fps CCI.

Got in some of the new MBX Extreme 140mm magazines for CZ-75 compatible pistols. Gonna test them in my Optics Ready CZ Shadow2.

…….9mm of course, due to metric superiority and capacity compared to .40 ?

it looks kinda sci fi! if you have 3 or more of something you are a collector ;)
It does look a lil futuristic......but these things run and run well! Couldn't be more happy with mine! As far as owning 3 of them.....I'm really not a collector......I shoot everything I own. My son got one of the first two so I decided to pick another one up for me. Always nice to have a 2nd in case the wife, DIL or my new grand-baby coming in February wants to go shooting!

futuristic is not a bad thing, i think its pretty cool. keltec seems to always make unique offerings. i still want one of the keltec shot guns but they too pricey for me.

If I get a Kel Tec anything it's going to be a KSG 12 ga. They have to mags under the barrel an you switch between feed tubes with a thumb lever. The 2 mags makes it a 14 plus 1 12 gauge.

Some of their AR style stuff looks interesting with the folding stocks. One might make a decent truck gun.

I picked up 2 boxes of those mini shells. The 1 3/4" buckshot ones. In the KSG it will hold 14! Not sure how much of a wallop they deliver but for close home defense they should get the job done

KelTec’s RDB is fun for a bull pup and their CMR30/PMR30 guns make a nice pair of carbine and pistol in .22mag if you’re running CCI maxi-mag ammo. Sub2000 with Glock mags is also a fun option.

KelTec employees some very cool people who enjoy making stuff that breaks away from what you normally see.

I have a Sub 2000 in 9. I have a 19 round an a 33 round glock mag for it. It's a fun toy but I don't consider it a serious weapon. It can be picky about ammo an will no run aluminum case.
